AMT, I need a BACKPLANE!

To test if the heavily damaged unit you sent me partially works!

You never send me one, so I got this machine that has no way to communicate with its controller!

Can you send me one?  Order #961

Anyone know where I can buy those white plastic power connectors?

I may need to source those just in case AMT does replace my broken boards!!

AMT service is so pathetic that I need to go on this board to beg for parts!

Anyway,  just in case AMT reads this thread:

I need a BACKPLANE!

I need an RMA to return 3 damaged boards!

Order #961!

Hey AMT,

I've tried to contact multiple different emails as well as calling your main office. I have received no response and was wondering if there was a better way to contact you all. Thanks again for all your hard work.

All the best,

EDIT: Pretty sure these are the PCIe socket end (the 6-pin ones), made by Molex from Mouser, poke around the products for it and should find the receptacles w/pins. I'd think Digikey would have them as well. The critical spec is that they are 4.2mm pitch (pin spacing) equiv to the Molex Mini-fit line.

I'm getting some of them myself to replace the PCIe wiring feeding my Ants. All this PSU talk got me to check the voltage drop over the factory cables: 0.75v lost between the PSU and the terminals on the Ants. Gotta remedy that and since the connectors can take up to 12ga wire - perfect solution..

Thanks dude.  May need to buy a couple just in case AMT disappears for good.

I cannot believe I paid $6,000 for a miner that can't be powered on because it just lacks the necessary components and the manufacturer refuses to respond to support questions.

AMT,
I don't get it. From these threads you can see that you have customers who are angry, some who are still currently patiently waiting and others who still believe you are working hard on getting their hardware to them. This new thread was a fresh start for your company. However, it seems that you are determined to convert everyone to the angry customers group.

From the old thread, you could see that when you started communicating, people realigned and started working together to get their miners working which in turn helps out your company. However, this new thread is so silent from you that it is further aggravating your customers to the point of litigation.

My last post was about receiving an official reply from you on your packaging methods. Instead you stated you will have others who received their miners to say what they received. This was not what I was asking for. The mis-packaging occurred from your employees. You need to state how you will package further shipments and be accountable for the current bad packaging and replace the miners sent out. That is the only way to regain customer confidence.

One last item, the Bitcoin mining difficulty is sky-rocketing now. Its only a matter of some more difficulty increases before 'all' your customers are upset and begin litigations. How long can you afford to remain silent and continue with the delay tactics?

Found the headers for the board side they are Molex pn-45718-0002 6-pin Mini-fit Jr. headers with 4.2mm pitch http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Molex/45718-0002/?qs=%2fha2pyFaduhnzZv7OU0FzsktPgT52Mb1S8Ub4aXVuUipBDBb45pb7A%3d%3d

Damn hard to dig up that info. Even the ATX psu design rules are not specific on that.  It gives the example Molex pn's for every other connector...

DID ANY ONE GET THE PI TO RECOGNIZE THE BOARDS ?
when you plug it in and go through the pi type killall cgminer then type cgminer -DT better if done through putty should come up with a load of info. if it dosent recognise any boards yo may need to check your backplabe is connected correctly.  if it sees boards you should be good to go. head into the amt 192.168.1.xxx and click the save and restart cgminer. may need to do it a coup[le of times but it should start mining

Does anyone have a connection diagram or do customers all have to discover this on their own?

Man.... these AMT folks are the worst.

Think this is the closest we've come to that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg6204573#msg6204573

Man.... these AMT folks are the worst.

Think this is the closest we've come to that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304605.msg6204573#msg6204573

now the 24 hr dry run is over we will disassemble the miner tomorrow and will post a full tut on how to install and set up the pi, blades, back plane and psu. how to get connected and also what tools you will need to aid you in usage.

hopefully be up and done by 6/7pm gmt. all being well

Thanks for taking the time to do AMT's job. I'm sure there are many who could use your input and limited experience with these things. Looking forward to it.

Please advise on order 958, FedEx was supposed to pick this damaged miner up on Monday and they did not. Should I call them myself? I want to be done with this game.

Guys,

Getting back to everyone now. New back planes are running. Apologies if anyone received poorly shipped miners. Threats of legal issues have set us back financially and production wise as well, but we'll get through it. Several miners went out over the last few days as well, not sure if it was anyone from this thread.

Update is 61 miners/rigs between last week and this week so far.

Please don't think we went missing or forgot about you or are stalling as some of you have suggested, we're currently figuring out realistic options to hopefully satisfy everyone in the end.

DID ANY ONE GET THE PI TO RECOGNIZE THE BOARDS ?
when you plug it in and go through the pi type killall cgminer then type cgminer -DT better if done through putty should come up with a load of info. if it dosent recognise any boards yo may need to check your backplabe is connected correctly.  if it sees boards you should be good to go. head into the amt 192.168.1.xxx and click the save and restart cgminer. may need to do it a coup[le of times but it should start mining
and make sure that little (floppy drive?) power connector is plugged in to the backplane. There's a pic of that further back.

Does anyone have a connection diagram or do customers all have to discover this on their own?

We asked him to do it because reggie is a nice guy that seems to have a handle on our product, one less thing to think about is always good.
