No offense to your comment, but I don't think you have any understanding how close Bitstar was to being de-listed on Bittrex back in late May / early June. I have the 70 sat buy orders to show it. "Mintpal" is a nice fantasy that requires 20000 more votes to get to #1 (and yes I vote several times daily). So......Instead of day dreaming about Mintpal >> We can get this coin onto one or more exchanges that could help everyone out sooner rather than later. If you have been paying attention in the last week or so even Dev has had problems dealing with Poloniex and Bittrex for multipool purchases. Show a little wisdom in understanding that options are a good thing instead of simply stating "No rush.....this is not a pump and dump coin" You don't need any votes to be added to Mintpal actually. You just need to be within top 3 of trade volume in Bittrex/Polo. Also, if there are lots of buzz around it, they'll ninja add also. So once the dev starts revealing more, we'll get the volume. Regarding exchanges, some Chinese exchanges (bter, beedui, btc38 etc) + MintPal/Cryptsy/Bittrex is all it needs IMO. For now, just Bittrex alone is OK. Even few days ago, Bittrex had the same total trade volume as MintPal. All good. You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about future possibilities>> "So once the dev starts revealing more, we'll get the volume" , "top 3 of trade volume in Bittrex/Polo" , "they'll ninja add". Your comments pertaining to Mintpal are pure speculation. You then go on to say "For now, just Bittrex alone is OK." Really? Was it OK when their wallet went down and no one could move Bitstar on or off their exchange? I would love to see Bitstar "Ninja added" to several exchanges, but I prefer to work with reality on a daily basis and not create fantasy scenarios for myself or other people.

I agree that having 1 exchange isn't enough. I guess the way I wrote it was open for misinterpretation however. I was trying to imply that we don't need MintPal or other big exchanges yet as Bittrex is plenty big enough for it. We do have Poloniex to fall back to. Another few smaller exchanges could be useful. So I'm not against the idea. Your scenario of stuck coins at the exchange happens even if we have 25 exchanges BTW. (stuck coins) Also, MintPal has been ninja-adding more high volume / buzz generating coins than via votes lately. I'm sure you agree. I've gone through enough altcoins to see what is needed to succeed or make things happen. It's just beginning for BITS. My point "So once the dev starts revealing more, we'll get the volume" has already happened BTW. But it has room to grow. Your vision of reality seem a little too pessimistic compared with mine. What I've said isn't fantasy that's for sure.

If my vision of reality seems to pessimistic compared to yours it is because of life experience.
There are two kinds of people in this world my friend.
Those who can (afford to) make mistakes every day and those that can make no mistakes at all. Guess which I am.

That's a bit too black and white. I'm pretty sure there are more kinds of people than those two. Anyways, I'm sure we understand each other enough now. So let's focus on Bitstarcoin again. I'm willing to donate some BITS to a dev bounty fund if it's for a good cause.

Reminder: Total amount of coins 54256119 (54.25 million) - Currently 15.4m in circulation (How many BTC or LTC are in circulation!?!)
This coin had a six-week POW period, far more than most POW/PoS projects being released over the last month, meaning there are likely to be many more people owning BITS.
It also means, as I have previously pointed out, that there is only one way to gain additional coins without having to pay for them, and that is to stake. Keep some BITS on the exchanges for a little profit taking as the markets move, sure, but you should have as much of your holdings staking as you can, which means moving them to your wallet and unlocking it for staking.
It strengthens the network and rewards you with more coins, what's not to love?

So I have a couple of thousand coins just sitting in unconfirmed and have had for days.
I've also not stake anything since the 5th July.
When will the unconfirmed balance mature and will it ever?
Also, is it normal to have not received anything for 5 days? I'm trying to stake but no love.

Took me about a week to get mine. A whopping 360 Bits. I have about 100K bits (all mined ), getting a staking average of 500 bits a week with it... somedays I get nothing... other days they keep coming out of nowhere... So just be patient all, staking is a fixed yearly %... so eventually you will get some... Your vision of reality seem a little too pessimistic compared with mine.

Like a Android wallet/IOS wallet, Faucets, 2nd blockexplorer, etc etc... im willing too donate 5K out of my pocket

There is an issue with the fact that some people are still running the previous wallet to the current one, causing the staking to not be as smooth as it otherwise would be.
The upcoming wallet will block the staking on outdated wallets.
In the meantime, what skills do you bring to the table that could earn you some BITS? I'm putting out a call for more community involvement and if you can offer something up you could end up with a nice extra chunk of coins to be staking with when the new wallet hits.
With regards to cross-platform wallet launches, Qadraq says he's got some C++ skills, I just want to hear from the dev before we can agree on a bounty for something that big, that it could be doable in the same timeframe remaining before the main wallet launches. It would be awesome to have Android and/or iOS wallets released at the same time.

Where do you get 21mil from? It's maximum will be 54mil after a few years but, right now, there's only 15.4mill in circulation. The rest will come with staking.

a staking android wallet is very much work.
It wouldn't have to have staking, just the functionality that is coming in the new wallet.

I'm marketing/comms professional so could possibly offer some insight into how to promote the coin or help out with the social media, media release etc. I do work full time and have a 1 year old though so wouldn't be able to commit a huge amount of time. Happy to help where I can for a good coin with solid dev. Also, thanks for the replies regarding my wallet not staking before people!

I'm marketing/comms professional Great, maybe for things you don't have time for but that you know would be an important facet of promoting this coin ready for launching the new wallet, you can outsource and we'll cover the costs where necessary. Can you start by listing some milestones that you would consider essential and how much they would cost?
