I use primarily BTCe but have used everything from Gox to Cryptsy in between. The key is have have the ability to be flexible when the time arises.

Mostly i use Coinbase
but coinbase isn't really an exchange -- more like a broker. you can't set orders on the books and play the exchange rate as much. plus, it's not great for trading also for the reason that many transactions in and out of your bank account may raise some red flags at your bank....

BTC-E is still my favorite -- most dependable trade engine, least lag, very good reputation. However, I do sometimes send to BFX to try to take advantage of the spread (and sometimes end up with $$ stuck there longer than I'd like, waiting for the spread to close back up).

They have to be... they process any Tx beyond 10 BTC manually

Really slow in what way? I actually prefer them for their fast trade engine. Bitfinex and Stamp both have horribly slow, laggy trade engines. BTC-E, on the other hand, actually manages to trade in real time by having an atomic trade engine.

BTC-e
Reason: more volatility, they have more coins, other than btc and litecoin, and they have the trollbox.

LOL -- trollbox. Somehow, I get the feeling that this assists in the ridiculous spikes BTCE has in both directions.... Stamp will move $5, BTCE will wick $10 in both directions. And the trollbox is causing so much panic during this time, hehe.

Before I learned that, I lost a bunch of money in both directions, selling at the bottom and buying a the top. Ughhh. Trust yourself and not the trolls, lol....

Iam not sure sometimes in Mt.Gox sometimes in btc-e and sometimes i sell to people. Depending on the rate is different on each exchanger But selling to the people is profitable Sometimes on Mt Gox? Uhh, where have you been? Been a while since anyone could sell there. For the newbies -- don't send any BTC to your old Gox addresses. Apparently people are STILL making that mistake.

It is always fun to read the trollbox, but you shouldn't listen to their "advice" at all lol.

You'd think someone would take a little bit more care when sending that amount of money....

Yeah, that's why I tell newbies that time better spent would be familiarizing themselves with blockchain and wallet uses rather than chasing 10k satoshi at a faucet.

You would be surprised how many times people have sent coins to the wrong place because they only look at the 1st 2 or 3 digits, or only the last 2 or 3.

Hand typing is always error prone.
