Hello,
New on bitcointalk, not new to BTC, registered actually for one matter but started browsing forums.

Kraken is great exchange, the only one which looks, feels and acts professional towards user. Their verification system IS verification system not a bunch of unrealistic expectations and it went really smooth up to Tier 3 (whole procces took around 30 minutes). Beside that, they have (for me, and for now) the best trading system bulid-in exchange, few types of order but i am mainly satisfied with Stop Loss/Take Profit and ability to specify how long order will be valid, this is the best exchange when You want to play a little, also the most trusted as i think.

Maybe i do sound a little like advertisement agent for them but not only I say this. Kraken has a lot of potential and with growing volume it can be much much better. The only hiccup is small LTC volume (initially i loaded my LTC there because i do not trust that much in btc-e, but it's impossible to trade this alt there - to low volume)

From the other side - i would never go into bitstamp, they KYC is grotesque Smiley

Hope it helps!

I don't trade that often, actively, or trade with large amounts so the ones I've used primarily are BTC-E and Cryptsy.  Fooled around with Coinedup, but that was a buggy mess.

You can't go wrong with BTC-E or Cryptsy if you're just first starting out as a noob trader.

Kraken or Bitstamp I guess if you're going to be more active.

I prefer using Bitfinex, because I like their interface with many different functions useful depending on what kind of trade I am in.

It's a fast and reliable exchange. It's the best. I recommend Bitfinex.

Cryptsy and btc-e is good enogh for me.

I use BTC-e for trading bitcoin and bittrect for trading alt coins. I don't have anything against Crypsty other than its low volume.

I use localbitcoins mainly, as I can make the trades without submitting my ID and the trades can usually be completed within a few hours. Smiley

i think someone should make a poll from all these exchangers so users can vote on them. this way it is easier to compare them

There is one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=679237.0

However, seems like forum too big and number of active members is too little against this ocean of new threads...

After the fall of Mt. Gox ...I think this is very important Q to all Bitcoin newbies like me.

There are a few trusted exchanges, but it really depends on what country you reside in. Because sending and receiving fiat is the biggest hurdle for many of the users.

BitStamp and Kraken are trusted universally. If you're in India you can try Unocoin which has many satisfied customers, especially if you verify your identity.

I have used bitstamp multiple times in the past months. Nothing went wrong so far, and so I would just continue to use it.

BTC-e because it's almost hassle-free for me (as far as my experience with their service tells me). But it still depends on where you are and what do you prefer. Also, I've been using BTC-e for months now and so far, no problems, so I think I would continue to use it as long as it will never screw up.

I always prefer to use btc-e because it is more secure. They sent you email when some one login to your account. Today some one tries to access my btc-e account but failed in doing so. So now I changed my password.

Using bittrex currently, like it because it has a lot of alt-coin to trade from. The only bad thing about bittrex is no usd.

I use BTC-e and bittrex for my daily trading. Just to be safe, I usually keep less than 5 BTC on any given exchange to minimize loss in the chance the exchange goes belly-up.
