An interesting tweet regarding CryptoNote led to this comment about Level DB vs LMDB. Lets discuss it

https://twitter.com/hyc_symas/status/678604762829443072
https://twitter.com/neha/status/678627238833729536

Since LevelDB is still a test branch it is better to discuss this now instead of later. Hopefully crypto_zoidberg and others can comment.

Boolberry is far from dead

There is a following

If bigj gets his hard fork, and CZ adds some% of "deferred premine" on top of his, as it is currently, boolberry could target crypto aware market by funding outlets like https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqNCLd2r19wpWWQE6yDLOOQ few times a month or something.

Along creating a market for creating a BBR logo shaped stuff generally  Smiley Stuff like that can not hurt too much in adoption phase, if time-restrected enough i suppose

Are you kind of surprised? This guy is the original author of LMDB. Sure thing he promotes it.

We should all put our heads together and come up with the best possible plan to market our amazing tech in 2016

On topic post from smooth in the xmr vs bbr chess/ CryptoNote Technical discussion thread:

Monero is testing LMDB
Boolberry is testing LevelDB

What will Aeon use?

Probably LMDB. I had concerns about LMDB not supporting 32 bit but that seems to be getting resolved.

There are some things to like about LevelDB though, and the Bitcoin developers are happy with it. My main criticism is that I've heard it isn't maintained any more, but there are LevelDB forks that are maintained.

If cryptozoidberg does not become more active soon we should think about asking smooth to join the boolberry team (at least to implement his ideas from Aeon). We could raise donations for development bounties and save the 1% miners currently donate to cryptozoidberg.

I just asked Shapeshift to support boolberry and aeon. Let them know if you agree it is a good idea.

i don't expect squat (re price) with then new release unless their are those that "invest" based on "performance" of a core team.

i mean, really, besides the ability of the network to perform its primary function, there is the ability of the network to perform that function in a secure fashion. 0.9 will allow many more nodes to come online... we've all witnessed newcomers to the scene be like "yo i downloaded this thing on the website and wtf". So 0,9 will make that whole situation somewhat better.

but as was eluded to in that fast talkin bitcoin podcast, its all about network security. And our hashrate just doesn't cut it yet. What cuts it? I have no idea. As a supporter, you can do many things:

1. run a solo node and mine on it
2. build up massive mining infrastructure
3. keep the price high

the current evolution of crypto allows #3 to work in some extent to address the overarching problem - lack of net hash. If monero was worth 10$ at current emission, what would the net hash be? so many cloud services would be burned keeping it up. But thats not what we want. We want a natural net hash. We want organic. Home grown. A real network of contributors. A real network of miners with dedicated rigs.

Yes it has been posited that we're just not there yet to justify high net hash..... but when? when the emission curve is bollux?

Important post from Monero thread that is just as (and arguably more based on our lower hash rate) important for boolberry

#1 is a very easy thing to do. Any believer in Boolberry should absolutely start solo mining today to support the network regardless of profitability. If your profitabilty calculations (based on your equipment and electricity costs) tell you it is more "efficient to just buy on the exchange then buy on the exchange AND mine Boolberry. It is the right thing to do and essential to network security.

Start mining!

i have problem with wallet
i mine BBR with cpu, so getting very small payments from pool
now i can't send to exchange more than 0.199 coins in one tx. so exchange will freeze my account if i create many small tx
how can i send all inputs to one wallet in bigger tx ? no feature like coin control?

not hashing, folding and curing (check FLDC merged-folding! reuse good GPUs)

also, need the cpuminer-multi-opencl (with the scratchpad size fix) for windows

Create a second wallet. Send your mined coins from your first wallet to your second wallet in chunks as large as possible. Send to the exchange from your second wallet.

Alternately try to get the pool to pay you in larger amounts less frequently. I have no idea how BBR pools work.

This is good advice.

As a reminder to everyone, please keeping playing popboolr the new boolberry social media game now in alpha and send feedback to damashup
