So - you look down your nose at a suggestion for a new exchange to trade DMD on
I would say he used logical thinking.
There are another 2 exchanges (apart from Cryptsy) that trade with Diamond, AllCrypt and AlcurEX.
Both of them are zombies, no trades whatsoever. They both share same characteristics - very low daily trading volume.
What is the point of applying for another one with low trading volume?
Secondly, there has been just a bit over 500 000 Diamonds issued so far.
Please show me any other coin with such volume that is traded on multiple exchanges.
Yet you're perfectly happy promoting gambling.
This statement shows your ignorance.
First of all, gambling involves putting your own money at risk - Diamond Multipool Lotto is a bonus you get by mining through the service.
People can mine at selected Multipools and get their payouts in Diamonds. Lotto is a form of promotion / random giveaway if you like. It's fun and it's fair.
Besides, Diamonds can be used for whatever people want them for: gambling, shopping, whatever it's not up to us to decide.
Interesting way you've twerked tweaked the once great DMD coin
Could you please list things that made 'past' Diamond so great? I'm very curious of things you will come up with.
From what I can remember it had a few great things going on:
- 8 year issuance cycle after which the coin would be dead (now it's 30+ years)
- random bonus blocks which were very easy to abuse (now they are gone, it might be a pity to some but majority of fair miners appreciate it)
- broken Proof of Stake (now it's working and minting nicely which added 2nd layer of network protection)
- Skrypt algorithm (now it's got energy efficient Groestl, non ASIC, no Multipool, SHA-3)
These are just a few I can think of off-my-hand.
Please share yours.
