update:
u can use below guide to sync
but later follow guidelines of danbis post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg8170710#msg8170710

following this im still on right chain after long time wallet open and minting

everyone use wallet 2.0.3 its mandatory now!
http://bit.diamonds/download.html
and a good start for sync is the blockchain
http://diamond.danbo.bg/downloads/dmdchain20140731-fast.zip

regarding conf
u delete peers.dat
and u sync with this:

listen=0
noirc=1
connect=193.68.21.19
bantime=600

once synced u stop wallet make a copy of the diamond appdata folder (in case things go wrong in future u have a nice fallback point)

then u change in ur conf

listen=1
noirc=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
bantime=600

and restart wallet

the full diamond.conf i use after full synced:

Quote
rpcuser=diamondrpcsecretpw
rpcpassword=diamondpass
logtimestamps=1
#genproclimit=10
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
noirc=1
rpcport=17772
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
addnode=193.68.21.19
maxconnections=50
bantime=600

# to disable PoS
#reservebalance=9999999

# our "test" net
# for more logging
debug=1
#printcoinage=1
#printcreation=1
#printpriority=1
#printstakemodifier=1
#printcoinstake=1
#printfee=1
#printjunk=1
replace rpcallowip=192.168.1.* with 127.0.0.1 or first 3 numbers of ur  local lan if u as example allow solo minting of another rig towards this wallet

Please devs tell me if somethings wrong  Sad
I have been mining Dmd since May, I have more than 3000 dmds before 31-7 but now, after this "event" I have own 1295 dmds Sad(
Im sure Im in right chain because the diff show same as danbi's pool.

1- backup your wallet;
2- use the "checkwallet" command. Normally it should tell you how many coins will be recovered. Normally all those missing.
3- use the "repairwallet" command. You should now see all your coins back.

Please give your feedback.

Diamond-qt for Windows can be run on any 32 and 64 bit versions. It's been well tested.

I tried as you suggested. I am down 18 .
17 transactions. 1 minted. Unconfirmed.
07312014 mined and minted.
The checkwallet cmd gave me back,  passed true..
No change.

I am not sure I understood properly. You went from 3000 DMD to 1295 DMD OR you earned 1295 DMD since 31/7?

enter ur wallet address there u can see exactly what happend with ur balance
incoming andoutgoing transactions

coin never get lost
only u can lose access to them
if u as example forget ur wallet password
or if u transfer them to a wrong address

edit:
what i do if i was trapped in a wrong fork is i make sure i always use a old wallet.dat when i resync
i even used a few times already a virgin (the first day i created my wallet woth zero coins in it) wallet.dat from december and when resync every coin is displayed correct even from subaddresses i created that the old wallet.dat dont even know. thats because all or addresses in one wallet share same secret part so  even a old wallet.dat is able to recover it

repairwallet got my coins displaying correctly as far as I can tell, though other commands can crash my client.

Think I must have synched to the wrong chain some how though. Not sure how that is possible, I must have screwed up the steps?

Please pay attention to this:

We have identified an attack vector, which is likely being exploited. We are working on a fix (complex research), but identified a network topology that would make Diamond network very resilient to this type of attack. The network topology suggests a proper configuration for different types of node usage, like this:

- any node, that generates blocks, either by PoW or PoS is advised to use the recently suggested configuration: connect= to one or more (preferably all) known permanent nodes, noirc=1, listen=0. This includes minters, solo miners and pools.
Example entries in the config file:

listen=0
noirc=1
connect=193.68.21.19
connect=54.191.208.14
connect=54.255.133.30
bantime=600

- any node that does not generate blocks, can fully participate in the network by relaying other nodes' blocks -- it should use addnode for the permanent nodes, noirc=0 and listen=1. Such a node would act as an unannounced/dynamic (because it might not be available at all times) full node. This is for exchanges, and those who do a lot of transactions.
Example entries in the config file:

listen=1
noirc=0
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=54.191.208.14
addnode=54.255.133.30
bantime=600

Of course, nothing prevents a non-block-generating node to use the more restrictive topology for the block generators -- this will make them even safer. The permanent nodes will only grow in numbers.

The idea of this network setup is that 'full nodes' chose to not generate blocks, and because of this, they can't be disconnected by other full nodes. These nodes would just relay blocks and provide the block chain for download. The nodes that do generate blocks control their connection to the network and thus if they end up generating invalid blocks, nobody else suffers. They can easily recover.

The wallet code will be updated to include more protections and react better on such situations, but this kind of network topology is an additional safeguard.

So - you look down your nose at a suggestion for a new exchange to trade DMD on

Quote

BleuTrade needs to be added - https://bleutrade.com/exchange/2129 they are looking for coins both new and old to add to their exchange, they seem legit, you can even buy shares which pay out on the previous four hours trade.

the truth in my opinion about exchanges is that we shouldnt consider any exchange as real

who is below 10 BTC average daily volume

thats what i learned from alcurex and allcrypt.......

every exchange is free to add us but in future we wont even listen such micro exchanges on our ANN thread

Yet you're perfectly happy promoting gambling.

I would say he used logical thinking.
There are another 2 exchanges (apart from Cryptsy) that trade with Diamond, AllCrypt and AlcurEX.
Both of them are zombies, no trades whatsoever. They both share same characteristics - very low daily trading volume.
What is the point of applying for another one with low trading volume?

Secondly, there has been just a bit over 500 000 Diamonds issued so far.
Please show me any other coin with such volume that is traded on multiple exchanges.

Yet you're perfectly happy promoting gambling.
This statement shows your ignorance.
First of all, gambling involves putting your own money at risk - Diamond Multipool Lotto is a bonus you get by mining through the service.
People can mine at selected Multipools and get their payouts in Diamonds. Lotto is a form of promotion / random giveaway if you like. It's fun and it's fair.

Besides, Diamonds can be used for whatever people want them for: gambling, shopping, whatever it's not up to us to decide.

Interesting way you've twerked tweaked the once great DMD coin
Could you please list things that made 'past' Diamond so great? I'm very curious of things you will come up with.

From what I can remember it had a few great things going on:
- 8 year issuance cycle after which the coin would be dead (now it's 30+ years)
- random bonus blocks which were very easy to abuse (now they are gone, it might be a pity to some but majority of fair miners appreciate it)
- broken Proof of Stake (now it's working and minting nicely which added 2nd layer of network protection)
- Skrypt algorithm (now it's got energy efficient Groestl, non ASIC, no Multipool, SHA-3)

These are just a few I can think of off-my-hand.
Please share yours.
