Thanks. It looks like the new card is still slower than an r9 290 on most algos, but draws half the power. So it's better as hash/watt but worse on $/hash. Now it is down to the developers to get the best out of the card ;-) Scrypt and Scrypt-N is slower because of lower memory bandwith, but groestl and other algos are faster. For example groestl runs at 20.5MH/s on R9 290 (and 24MH/s on GTX980). Wrong, r9 290 runs at 25 :-) See my signature. Wrong. You published hashrate with overclock. GTX980 does 28.88MH/s with OC.

if someone could help please, I am looking for a clarification about whats happening with this mining thing:
hi I am a mining noob but I decided to try mining this coin on the multi pool and now I have questions
how long are the coins Unconfirmed for?
am I actually mining dmd?
my miner seems to think I have mined some dmd coins but the multipool is saying I have mined some btc
the number of btc's the pool says I have mined is not in agreement with what the mining software is reporting - whats that about?
any help about this would be appreciated

If you are multipool mining you are mining BTC which will then be converted to DMD. If you are mining on wafflepool - I assume you are - you are mining multiple coins in let's say scrypt. When those coins get converted to BTC they sit in your account until they hit at least .005 BTC. At that point they are sent over to be converted to DMD. Any confirmation times are based on each individual coin and will show up as immature on your stats page. I am not sure what you mean that your mining software is showing you mining DMD - the POW of the coin is down atm. Pokeytex

Pokeytex thanks for that the thing about the dmd coins is I am using sgminer and it has a best share field, I was assuming that meant share of coins
