Plot of The Social Network: taking an idea that's been done (Friendster, Myspace) and borrowing a tweak of that idea (Harvard Connection) and building it into a scalable machine that will change the way the world works (Facebook).
And now they compare Facebook with monero... Monero is more profoundly innovative than Facebook. Facebook was an interaction of MySpace. Monero is the first system of any kind in all of human history to provide untraceable, unsinkable transactions in a completely trustless, decentralized, end-to-end manner.

Monero is a part of top20 altcoin index Coinoindex.comThe index includes top 20 alternative cryptocurrencies with largest capitalization and tracks the value of the portfolio (in BTC) in which each coin has a 5% share. The index was created to be an analogue of Dow-Jones or S&P indexes for the altcoins arena. Rules of index composition: - Coin should be traded at at least three exchanges, with cumulative daily volume above $1,000 for last 14 days - Coins that track a value of a certain asset (USD, CNY etc) cannot be included. - Each coin in included in the portfolio with the same weight. You can invest in the index by using NXT Asset Exchange, NXT Asset ID 13634675574519917918 Asset tracks the index value, and constant buy/sell liquidity is maintained. You can invest using NXT cryptocurrency (you can exchange BTC to NXT directly in the NXT client from http://multigateway.org/ or at http://coinomat.com) or BTC at https://trade.secureae.com/ This asset is perfect for traders.

On April 23 you said, "I'll give an honest answer. I don't think Monero is the most undervalued coin. I don't know what is, but it's probably something fairly unknown at this point." Something more 'profoundly innovative' than Facebook would have a larger marketcap than a few million dollars, making Monero extremely undervalued. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1002657.msg11172151#msg11172151

Honestly, what should the market cap be? Until it is ready for mass adoption, aren't we putting too much onus on marketcap? It is doing exactly as Smooth eloquently outlined for those few who get-it and can adequately manage it. This is the birthing stage, then will come the VC stage, and then will come mass adoption--or not. That's the gamble and the payoff.

Selling the following domains. BetMonero.com MoneroForum.com DiceMonero.com Had plans for some sites that never got around to making. If anyone knows the bad luck I've run across in the world of BTC knows I can use this $, so consider it a donation 200 XMR each or 500 for all three. Maybe can land in some better hands!

You could try downloading the blockchain.bin from http://getmonero.org/downloads/that way you could test the theory regarding whether your blockchain.bin was corrupted. Downloading the blockchain does not help.

Downloading the blockchain does not help. based on the fact that it used to work, and then you started it up again and it didn't work, I wouldn't be surprised if something in your system changed. Windows changes stuff a lot- system updates, firewall settings, new antivirus / antimalware definitions.... so, have u tried disabling anti-malware programs and running?
