Difficulty adjustment is completely fucked up. Have they changed the diff. retarget algo ?

Difficulty must be doubled (or something) because of doubled block time.

Shapeshift is disabled too. I guess just in case, until network calms down.

Difficulty adjustment is completely fucked up. Have they changed the diff. retarget algo ?

The MRL is looking into it and will propose a change/solution afaik.

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency

How is adjustment is supposed to take place over 24 hours "completely fucked up" after 5 hours?

Answer: it isn't. By design in this time frame it should still be adjusting.

Next time take into consideration that 50%-90% of hash might get cut off like it did now and lower the difficulty accordingly!

Crypto-pool.fr got booted off for the first 12 blocks or so, but they are finding blocks again now.

He didn't get booted off, the fork was NOT COMPATIBLE with pool software. Onishin is a smart guy, i'm not surprised he fixed it in to time (still took him longer than me Smiley )

No, the pool software was not updated to support a well publicised fork, even though testnet was forked months ago and available for testing. Why and how would a hard fork support outdated software??

This was a ninja fork, poorly executed. You, the dev team, are amateurs. I'd be worried what other nasties will show up... 2 min blocks are a terrible idea in the first place.. How come the miners didn't get a say ?

Well my current hash rate seems to be 32% , should i try to do a double spend ?

Instead I would suggest that you learn how mining works. You got lucky there, or your hash rate is much higher than you claim. Probably the latter.

Stop pretending you don't know whats going on you idiot.

Onishin's pool now doing way over 50% with less than 3MH/s. Let me guess, he's just lucky.  I had 1% total hash rate before the fork, over 15% now.

Again, you don't understand how mining works. Only difficulty and hash rate matter to how many blocks you get, and the difficulty is about 2x what it was before the fork, which is about right.

The pool hash rate may be reported incorrectly though.

To what end? There are plenty of blocks being mined. Specifically, in the last hour 27 blocks, which is nearly perfectly on pace. Everything is working properly, except your brain.

Monero (XMR) - secure, private, untraceable

You could now get 3 months of KVM Linux VPS Service for 1$ per month (the price is valid for the first 3 months and after that period the price is $11.69 per month, so you should disable recurring payment if you want to keep the node just for the first 3 months). I just bought one for a Monero node and Monero is now compiling. 20 GB Disk Space, 300 GB Traffic, 1024 MB RAM, 1 CPU Core(s), CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu 64 bit. You could order it from here: moonero.duoservers.com (go to VPS Servers -> KVM VPS Servers. For hostname you could enter any valid domain or sub-domain and it's not even needed to be a domain over your control). I won't get anything from those 3$, but any other services ordered from there will bring me varying % profit from the sell. 50% of profits from there (if any) will go to Monero development.

Pools that found a V2 block so far (and are thus safe to mine on):

https://moneropool.com/
http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/
http://dwarfpool.com/xmr
http://xmr.alimabi.cn/
https://minergate.com/pool-stats/mro
http://mro.poolto.be/#pool_blocks

Pending (i.e. where on the right version before the fork, but haven't found a block yet):

https://monerohash.com/#pool_blocks
http://minexmr.com/#pool_blocks (found the fork block, but nothing after)
http://xmr.prohash.net/#pool_blocks
http://monero.miner.center/#pool_blocks
http://mro.poolto.be/#pool_blocks (seems offline currently) FOUND BLOCK
http://monero.xminingpool.com/#pool_blocks

Wrong chain (i.e. where on the wrong version before the fork):

http://cryptmonero.com/#pool_blocks <= Botnet probably, see:

Quote
Seems to be mainly a botnet: http://fpaste.org/321343/14552121/. Also, reported number of miners seems fake if you compare it to the number of paid miners.

http://cryptonotepool.org.uk/#pool_blocks (indicated they would upgrade though)

If you are on a private pool, please check if your pool is finding blocks after 1009827. Pending pools probably got stuck due to their (custom) pool software. Issue reported by primer-:

cryptonote-universal-pool wont run after the fork. node-cryptonote-pool works just fine

Wait I'm a little bit confused.. 1) can you pay with XMR? (Maybe through XMR.to?) 2) why do you need to provide some random domain when you are going to be personally using it for your node?

Edit: also I see it says ~$4 a month

My daemon status looks fine.  I am at block 10009938 but it says, in yellow lettering, I am 95 blocks (0 days) ahead.
# of blocks ahead keeps increasing as blocks are found.

Stop pretending you don't know whats going on you idiot.
http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/#pool_blocks

Onishin's pool now doing way over 50% with less than 3MH/s. Let me guess, he's just lucky.  I had 1% total hash rate before the fork, over 15% now.

Again, you don't understand how mining works. Only difficulty and hash rate matter to how many blocks you get, and the hash rate is about 2x what it was before the fork, which is about right.

The pool hash rate may be reported incorrectly though.

Quote
Next time take into consideration that 50%-90% of hash might get cut off like it did now and lower the difficulty accordingly!

To what end? There are plenty of blocks being mined. Everything is working properly, except your brain.

You are playing stupid and i don't have time to make fun of you.. I'm out...

More info. Last hour worth of blocks (N=28; target=30; nearly perfect!):

My daemon status looks fine.  I am at block 10009938 but it says, in yellow lettering, I am 95 blocks (0 days) ahead.
# of blocks ahead keeps increasing as blocks are found.

Found the answer on reddit.  It's the peers I was connected to.  I had restarted the daemon which didn't do anything until 2 peers got blocked after which there are no more # of blocks ahead messages.

More detailed explanation of the pool issue, thanks to osensei:

The error on cryptonote-universal-pool is because of an incompatibility in the node-cryptonote-util library it uses (https://github.com/fancoder/node-cryptonote-util). With some tweaks it can work with the original library by lucasjones (https://github.com/lucasjones/node-cryptonote-util).

On https://monerohash.com, although I'm using cryptonote-universal-pool I made the switch to lucasjones' node-cryptonote-util library some time ago, that's why https://monerohash.com is not affected by that bug.

In my time following this coin I haven't seen the hash rate this low  10.7MH/s  I guess there are still pools out there that haven't updated.
