Is there an easier way than coingecko to compare multiple coins vs usd stability? Something with overlays that calculates a set range for volatility?

I'd like to find stats for price stability comparisons over a coins lifetime after the initial fluctuation, IOW what is the safest store vs usd. I think XMR is way above the pack for almost 2 years now. It sure isn't BTC.

Just invested 2000$ in Monero, IT HAS POTENTIAL TO GO TO THE MOON!

Indeed. But, had you invested that 2k last week, you would have saved roughly 40 cents usd per coin! ... IOTW, this coin is not for people who think it will just always rise... This coin moves ... A LOT... Just strap in for the ride. I too dumped 1k into it again last night @ 1USD per coin! Smiley

Should I be flipping them then? just sitting on my stash from about the first few weeks. I am underwater I guess because people would probably sell where I brought  *doh   lol

I don't feel to bad with this. Could be better but I was lucky enough to find this coin when it was obvious there was better mining software so didn't get involved until everything leveled out pretty much. And never setup my gpu farm for xmr.

 Average Buy Price: 0.00215057 BTC

Hey people. Does anyone know if there is a XMR version of this awesome tool? https://btc-priceimg.herokuapp.com/

I don't know python that well, but I believe I have added the functionality to get it to work using XMR and a call to cryptonator's api, however I can't seem to get the app working on a vm running apache2 on ubuntu.

I'd be willing to pay some xmr for some help on how to get it running on a vm so I can test it out without giving anyone access to my server of course.... The code changes are pretty simple, IMO, I just can't figure out from the source code / Readme how to get it up and running on a new server as a python app! Huh

Thanks!

I dont have much experience with Python but it appears to be a flask app, so this may help you deploy it on ubuntu:
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-deploy-a-flask-application-on-an-ubuntu-vps

However it may be even easier to install dokku and deploy that way since this is ready to deploy with heroku. dokku is essentially a free version of heroku you can host on your own ubuntu server. I'm going to try that now and report back.

Does anyone have a good tutorial to download and install bit square on Linux Ubuntu command line?

if you're ok to use a signed .deb package, it's very simple

Download the package:
Code:
mkdir Bitsquare_package && cd Bitsquare_package
wget https://github.com/bitsquare/bitsquare/releases/download/v0.4.8/Bitsquare-64bit-0.4.8.deb
(or wget https://github.com/bitsquare/bitsquare/releases/download/v0.4.8/Bitsquare-32bit-0.4.8.deb)

Verify data integrity:
Code:
sha256sum Bitsquare-64bit-0.4.8.deb
(or sha256sum Bitsquare-32bit-0.4.8.deb)
it must exactly match to:
48b20bd9233f907bdce840ffd2ce831c2021226675ecc294bc82239d7e0a9f14  Bitsquare-64bit-0.4.8.deb
77bab02697595c13da09888624a65ec2ca534d3bcad1eb66e9c8b42603f78b89  Bitsquare-32bit-0.4.8.deb

if integrity is ok, you can install
Code:
sudo dpkg -i Bitsquare-64bit-0.4.8.deb

you can now delete Bitsquare_package folder (no more needed)
Code:
cd ..
rm -rf Bitsquare_package

Bitsquare is installed in /opt/Bitsquare
Launch with:
Code:
/opt/Bitsquare/Bitsquare

Monero has ring signatures.  It uses real cryptography to ensure privacy.

Dash has masternodes.  To me, that an OpSec flaw.  People will argue that Dash's privacy is "good enough", but I'd rather have the "best available".

Nav has a richlist.  So, no.  That's not privacy at all.

Disclosure: I own both Dash (very little) and Monero (much more).

I agree with aerbax. Plus, Dash has masternodes, making it semi-centralized. This means that if the same entity owns the series of masternodes used to mix your Dash, then your privacy has been compromised.

Monero is completely decentralized and private. If your privacy matters, Monero is the best option.

XMR is doing better than any cryptocurrency right now. It's the only one (with ETH) that pump during the BTC pump. Very strong.

Monero is very underpriced.   But it needs more markets and because everyone likes the shiny graphical interfaces and especially the word "official" XMR won't achieve much bigger cap grow(like in 100m $) without official GUI. But I guess everyone knows that already...

I used to mine/trade monero when it launched. what is the current inflation rate of XMR? It has been a long time.

On average 12.09 XMR per 2 minutes, so calculating back to 1 minute blocks that would be 6.045 XMR. See -> http://moneroblocks.info/tx/cb36437d32ca7cec8066ff9840c668342189bbec6e42321124037ff375d54b5e

Daily is -> 12.09*30*24 = ~8705 XMR per day.
