I tried to transfer 13 monero from my command wallet to bittrex.  The transfer said successful but it's been 3 days and it still hasn't shown up in my bittrex wallet

Did you send it with the payment ID bittrex gave you?

no but i didn't last time either and it did go through

Not sure how that would be possible. The payment id is how they distinguish your account/wallet from others. You need to open a support ticket and give them the txid.

Bittrex already has the 13 XMR, they haven't credited your account with the balance because without a payment ID, they don't know who to give it to. That's the reason for the payment ID.

You will need to contact their support and provide the transaction ID and the amount you sent, then they can manually check their wallet and see that they received the XMR and then credit your balance.

There's no way in Hell that ZEC is worth $1500!!!! It's amazingly stupid to pay that much for it at this point, some people are in for a world of hurt on this one! XMR is a better technology and is further along in its "life cycle" and generally more mature and it's still not worth that much yet... but some day soon!

I tried to upgrade to version 0.10 from 0.9.4 and it's telling me my database is incompatible and I need to recync? Do I need to download the whole blockchain again? What did you do in version 0.10? :/

Yes, you should download / resync the chain. It's a lot faster now, but will still take quite a while if not on an ssd drive.  Thanks.

Sounds like we need a blockchain convert tool, redownloading is hack.

1) There is already conversion code built into 0.10 monerod.

2) Monerod does *not* tell you that you need to resync. It tells you your DB needs to be upgraded and then proceeds to do so, automatically. You only need to let it run and do its thing.

3) On a system with less than 8GB RAM it may be faster to just delete and sync from scratch, it just depends on how fast your storage device is.

It looks like you're missing some boost dependencies. On Ubuntu/Debian you need to install libboost-all-dev package to get everything, and I think you need v1.58 now.

So, finally after nearly a week, Pepe's monero blockchain is fully synced.
Pepe had to restart once (delete everything and start from scratch) to make it work.

Pepe didn't use the import_blockchain feature, why... should he have?
