whos the crazymofo that brought in 25btc worth of syscoin, someones got faith

VIA has over a million dollar market cap right now and are just announcing their Dev team. What will syscoin be worth a few days after launch based on everything they got. People got money to throw around too. Exciting times.

Very true, and yet if you compare these things to traditional finance it looks like peanuts. Did anyone else see how the 'Yo!' app which does nothing but send a message saying Yo! to someone from your address book got bought for like $10 million or something. I wasn't really that impressed by VIA, but even I think its worth more than that stupid Yo! app, and I think Syscoin definitely is.

Also its all relative. For some people 25 BTC means less to them than 0.25 BTC does to the rest of us because they've got hundreds or even thousands of coins. Maybe this whale felt like he was just taking a small punt.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Feel like the team has sufficiently answered all the questions we got overnight, all good, fair questions!

whos the crazymofo that brought in 25btc worth of syscoin, someones got faith

VIA has over a million dollar market cap right now and are just announcing their Dev team.

Yeah and if you look at their ledger they have even "crazier mofos" since someone bought 75btc of the presale with no proof of development and with no development team to show. That's faith right there. Also, that will crush the VIA market when its dumped. We tried to put 25btc "caps" in place to prevent this kinda of over-concentration of wealth.

Did anyone else see how the 'Yo!' app which does nothing but send a message saying Yo! to someone from your address book got bought for like $10 million or something. I wasn't really that impressed by VIA, but even I think its worth more than that stupid Yo! app, and I think Syscoin definitely is.

Perfect example re: Yo! App. It got 1mil in funding for exactly as you described- an iOS only app that simply sends a txt that says "Yo." to someone in your address book. THAT got a 1million USD of mainstream funding. I know for a fact Syscoin has already taken a lot (8+ months n counting) longer to develop than that app and it has a lot larger potential to be majorly disruptive. Unlike VIA we have real working features that differentiate Syscoin ready for launch and a non-anon dev team that's already put in many months of work to make this feature complete as described before coming out and trying to advertise/launch/presell anything.

You probably only heard of Syscoin a within past weeks unless you're really in tune with the altcoin market. We've been operating in stealth mode (ninja mode?) for months and decided to do preann Syscoin only once we were sure the features were fully functional. Different approach than 99% of other teams out there.

Why doesn't this thread have an "all" button?

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Yes, I can help explain.

OK so lets see what it will take to hit 5k sat.

So in 1.5 years there will be at most a total of 442,944,000 total coins. At the presale price of 518 that is $1,353,725 market cap.

Lets say the price is 5000 sat then that will give us a market cap of $13,066,848

That is also 9.65x higher than the presale price.

Now if the price is 5000 and market cap is $13,000,000 in 18 months then the coins being mined per day are worth 5.76btc. By then the presale buyers should be holding strong (you gotta if you want to see 5000) and with 5.76btc being mined a day that is still manageable (when you look at other coins still being mined and their price).

If Syscoin is being used people will be buying the coin too which will create buy pressure which will make the mining and dumping not seem so bad (and maybe people will mine and hold).

That's how you get to 5k sat in the short term.

After bittrex has processed your withdrawal and there is at least 1 confirmation you will receive an email. If you overpaid by any amount you will be sent Syscoin for the full overpaid amount Wink

If I recall the bittrex withdrawal fee is 0.0002. So to buy 0.1btc of SYS you'd need to send 0.1002. If you sent 0.104 you will receive 0.1038btc worth of SYS after the network fee and should get an email to that affect. If there are any issues please PM me, here to help!

Thanks to the other's who addressed the 2bil question Wink

If Syscoin is being used people will be buying the coin too which will create buy pressure which will make the mining and dumping not seem so bad (and maybe people will mine and hold).

Want to emphasize this point. Right now almost all Syscoin features require Syscoin to use them- including the marketplace feature. So once we launch if Syscoin marketplaces catch on, there will indeed by buy pressure as people will need Syscoin to buy items on these marketplaces.

As I mentioned before Syscoin creates all kinds of business opportunities for smart devs. A keen developer could easily implement BTC/SYS conversion on the frontend of a marketplace using an exchange API to make it even easier for people to move from BTC/RZR/VRC/etc -> SYS for the purposes of purchasing goods on Syscoin marketplaces. This could all be pretty transparent to the end user (they still think they are buying something using BTC). In either case, the use of Syscoin marketplaces will create natural buy pressure- and that is only 1 of 4 features we're releasing at launch (and we're actively working on escrow at the moment!). What happens if all the services catch on? A lot more buy pressure.

Syscoin is a really different type of offering while still descending the from the original Bitcoin codebase. Its going to be a whole new type of coin.

Hey, quick question, I've already purchased .5 bitcoin worth of Syscoin.  If I want more will Moolah just add them to my account, or should I let them know beforehand so they don't issue two wallets?

Please walk through the form on the Moolah site a second time. You will get a new BTC address to send funds to, do NOT send the funds to the same address as the first purchase.
They will add it to the first order and you will only get one wallet.

That or you can request a keypair and import it into the first wallet.
