HUGE thank you. This funding it going to help us to do things with Syscoin that no other team (with completed features like Syscoin) has the operating capital to do/try. Other teams are offering bounties in their own coin and wondering why they can't get people to help 3 months after launch. We've been through this! We know bounties in SYS will only get us so far. We know you need real capital to hire developers and other assets required for real success. The presale is helping to provide that capital/funding.

We're already lining up interviews with an additional coder and a designer now that we are getting a sense for the amount of BTC we may be able to realistically bring in from the presale (we may actually sell this whole thing out). Think about how long it took other teams to hire their "first official dev(s)". We have our core team already (of devs), and we're already looking to expand its capacity and we haven't even launched. We're aggressively pursuing growth.

We want presale investors to be as happy as possible. To that end we're getting new hires on deck and ready so as soon as when we launch and get access to the funding we can immediately put it to use and rocket out of the starting gate.  Shocked

This is question for Dano or another member of the syscoin team.

I know this might be comparing apples to oranges as Dano said in another post, but with regards to syscoin vs. ETH. For those like myself that are trying to understand both of these, is there a way someone could explain how these are different and or the same? Are features and concepts same or close, but different approach, or are these coins completely different in every way. I'm just trying to wrap my head around what this coin can do, and differences between the two.

Thanks for your response in advance.

PS. I know I've talked with Dano and Sebash in the past when they were involved with kittehcoin long time back, and let me say these two, plus the rest that came aboard are hard working, motivated, and will give it their all from past development that was done. I have full confidence in this coin, and would invest heck of a lot more BTC if I had it knowing the names and faces of the people running this coin. This is not BS team here, we have one of the best in cryptos to date if not the best running and in control of this coin. Looking forward to all that is in store here in the coming days, weeks, months and years to come.

This is a great question and I'd love to give a more complete answer. I'm talking with the team shortly and will get back to you with a more detailed and technical comparison of the two. Thanks for you patience on this Wink

Thank you! Yea Kittehcoin was a hard lesson and a labor of love but it taught us what to DO and what NOT to do in crypto. It also made it very clear to all of us that we wanted to do more than just work on a clone coin, and that is how Syscoin came to be. I really appreciate your confidence in us and my goal is to be the best, most reponsive, and most innovative team out there. Competition is fierce, and there are other very solid teams out there I'm not bismirching that- but we are here to be the best, and are going to do everything we can to make all these presale buyers happy with their decision!

HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PURCHASED IN PHASE1 OF THE PRESALE! WE HAVE SOLD OUT!!!

Phase2 has now started, 10% more expensive but still probably cheaper than you'll find it on exchanges. More videos, demos, materials and proof-of-development coming out this week and over the next 3 weeks leading up to the big launch August 16!

with zero rollover across the deadline into phase 2?  seems remarkable that the cap would have been hit so exactly.  perhaps i misunderstand the timing / mechanics of the phase one cap.

The rollover was minor at 465.3997052. To clarify further, at the moment of writing the phase two amount is 0.00 - this is because we didnt carry over any amount from phase one into phase two (We allowed for a minor overspill based on the phase one price for investors).

This rollover amount is correct.

The final investment in this phase was for 8.661 BTC.

(just got off another team call - we talk a lot!)

Presale phase2 is under way and some people have already started making purchases (same process). On the team call we determined escrow for launch is probably not going to be feasible but we are going to start working on it immediately anyway and see where we get. We have an intial design/flow/commands mapped out that I'm working on diagramming right now and after confirming with the team we'll be making these designs public to get community feedback on them.

Yet again, this type of automated escrow will be a unique feature of Syscoin and to that end (now that the community is involved and we aren't in stealth mode anymore) we want to get some community feedback/opinions on these designs before we implement them.

As you've seen with mining rewards, we do listen to the community very closely and we're excited to get community feedback on the escrow workflow. We'll publish the proposed design with the next few days.

Also we're talking with lots of people via PM (BCT) and DM (twitter) regarding joining or contributing to the team/Syscoin in general. Thanks to presale funds we have an idea of how much funding we have to work with and are looking to immediately leverage that to Syscoin's benefit. Right now we're focusing on developers (C++, Android, and Web) so that the launch can rollout with the most robust ecosystem possible on top of Syscoin's core features.

Again I want to thank everyone. We are very humbled by the outpouring of support for the work we've put into Syscoin and the changes it may bring to the altcoin world / what people come to expect from altcoin launches/features/teams!

Just wanted to thank you personally for that comment, it's truly appreciated; flattery will get you everywhere Smiley j/k lol! I assure you that we will indeed be dedicated to Syscoin and that now that we have proper funding(as opposed to nothing with Kittehcoin), and actually have innovation on our side, there's no telling where this will go Smiley Super excited!!

If you can do it cheaply, you should start advertising the presale somehow.

I know bittrex only charges a few BTC to feature a coin that trades there.  I don't know if they would offer any advertising to coins trading outside.

I don't believe enough people will see this Bitcointalk thread to get the final 1035 BTC without advertising, but I could be wrong.

Phase 2 price is more so it is not equal justice. Why not change the price of phase 2 as same as phase1.

Okay, great.

Phase 2 price is more so it is not equal justice. Why not change the price of phase 2 as same as phase1.

This is a bad idea.  Terms of the presale were already agreed to beforehand and have been up since the beginning.
