The Costa Rica goalie looked a bit off-edge on the penalty shootout.
He was moving in a little too close when shot IMO.
I agree though, the game was extremely close. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #qzgG1Wlx5IDrQjKa
Netherlands was superior to Costa Rica whole match. Netherland's goalkeeper had almost no work, while Costa Rica's one was maybe the top player of the match. This game going to penalty was some central american black magick, no other explanation. Waiting for the Brazil vs Germany game

1978 final: Argentina vs Netherlands 2002 final: Brazil vs Germany 1974 final: Netherlands vs (West) Germany
Nice rematches in this tournament, if the Europeans win, we'll see the 1974 match again

South America versus Europe. And two epic rivals of each continent at the same time -> Brazil and Argentina / Germany and Netherlands. I still think Netherlands is going to take it all, and Germany for 2nd place.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

I'm going to make a bold prediction IF Costa Rica defeats the Netherlands in penalty kicks we will see a Latin American Team take the world cup home This is GIANT KILLING
Holy shit, the game was so close it seems rigged! 4-3 in the penatly shootout, Netherlands still win, as predicted. Game was a lot closer than I had predicted, I imagine Netherlands would at least score 2 goals before 90 minutes. I was giving them the chance because to be the Netherlands are the group who I think will win the World Cup so if they got taken out by the Defensive power of Costa Rica, which despite it got shot at and shot at and shot and shot at some more and didn't give up a damn goal for 120 minutes XD. They would probably have had an easier time on the next opponents lol. Anyways since Netherlands did win looking forward to the next games going hmm Argentina since Neymar is still down and Netherlands http://www.torontosun.com/2014/07/05/neymar-injury-leaves-brazil-sad-infuriatedFavorite part of that article “Filho de $%#$%,” said taxi cab driver Mauricio Lourenco talking about it. But hmm interesting history lesson can they do a repeat? In 1962 Brazil was deprived of Pele’s genius also through injury but won the title. It is time to repeat the feat.”

For now, Argentina looks like the favorites to win the world cup. So far they have conceded only 3 goals (1 against Bosnia, and 2 against Nigeria). All of their players are fit, and in fine form. Brazil will struggle after the omission of Neymar.

Brazil will struggle after the omission of Neymar. I don't know about Argentina winning the world cup. I'm hoping Germany will be able to succeed in their match with Brazil (it will be devastating if they do not). Like said though, Germany has been playing against many more complex and difficult teams than Argentina. If Germany can beat France, they should be able to beat Argentina, which is the primary reason why I am thinking Germany may have it this year. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #IYRstzdROYN21EHf

What the fuck are you talking about? First of all every foul looks harmless in slowmotion. Secondly as long as they don't claim to have been fouled afterwards (which they rarely do especially compared to EVERY other nation in this year's cup) it is just normal to take a dive instead of an injury if you might get hit. Germany is the fairest team of the cup so far, the numbers are painting a pretty clear picture here. What makes me upset is that so many players are openly demanding yellow and red cards for the opponent sometimes for fouls that never even happened, when they know full well there was no foul. And normally the rules are pretty clear that this is punishable behaviour in it self. I wish we'd still have Colina (that bald Italian ref), he always used to put an end to such drama by kindly handing the yellow card to the player that demanded it for his opponent.

Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #IYRstzdROYN21EHfI don't think that the Netherlands will lose against Argentina. Van Ghaal will do his magic again and we will get a rematch of the '74 finals with the same ending (Germany winning the world cup).

I wish we'd still have Colina (that bald Italian ref), he always used to put an end to such drama by kindly handing the yellow card to the player that demanded it for his opponent. To say that Germany was diving too much would be an extreme over-statement when compared to France, who IMO had more fouls than the Germans in that match. You can tell this by the amount of yellow cards the Germans got amounting to way higher than usual ( As mentioned above, others saw bias as well ). France should have had 2 penalty shots on them as said before. It's regardless, though, because Germany won. Within relevancy, the only time I had ever seen a German in this cup complain about a player not getting a yellow card would be with Schweinsteiger (in the USA match... It might have been Ghana); which IMO was completely fair because he was being target number 1. If the player is being constantly attacked or being called a target, I understand frustrations. If a player is getting their first time being fouled against, then they should walk away and ignore the situation. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #L0IJrpn6U0Zj6ET5

I missed the game Between Netherlands Vs Costa Rica last night thinking that Dutch will advance to semis easily but turned out it was a close call and it went down to the wire with a nail biting Finish. anyway glad they are through . And Argentina also made to the semis but Di María injury must is a serious blow. Lets see if their defense succeeds to hold Netherlands in semis and vice versa.

Wow Looking the match b/w Netherlands vs Costa Rica I must say that move to replace Cillessen with Tim Krul was a great one.. it made all the difference in the end. Kudos to Louis for making that move.

Was thinking the same Nat in theory its 50 50 Europe will win or Latin America will win but then add in skill and teams ^_^ It seemed like an interesting enough battle between these two regions to be worth a bet

Brazil is not going to take down Germany. With 2 main players out of the match Neymar and the other guy that got carded out and Germany has really been bringing it this world cup.
I say Argentina and Germany in the Finals.
