If this was your coin, how would you make it better? What features are missing from the current marketplace??

The thing with cryptos is that once you launch the coin network.. it gets incrementally harder to add features into it.  You can add client side features, but not core coin features.. those require essentially protocol changes and will require the creation of a new fork.

But hey we can definitely all bounce around ideas.. I'm not leaving per se, I'm still checking back to see what's needed.

OP updated with correct exchange statuses.

What's next is marketing, planning for long-term future, multipool and creating value for the coin by (1) Getting the word out to people in both the cryptocurrency world and technology world about what we did and what we're doing, and (2) Getting AC accepted in more merchants and payment outlets. CoinPayments.net are going to have a vote to add the next altcoin, and we are in that vote.

We also need to organize the foundation, have permanent members with different skill sets and add harmony and efficiency to our efforts.

If you're happy with our work on AsiaCoin revival, please consider giving us trust feedback and provide donations to the new AsiaCoin Foundation.

micryon so its takes 2 weeks to get first stake and i get 2 week stake money. But its always possible to get orphan stake block an i would not like to wait 2 weeks just to see if i'm lucky. Cheesy It would be better that you have to wait 2 weeks but after that daily stake.

This is true.... Orphans are not fun with these parameters.

Unfortunately changing this parameter while i can do easily, requires yet another respin and future fork..

So the community can make that decision via some process.. but it would require yet another update.

Well this coin is unique in that it requires mandatory hard forks every two months when the PoS % adjusts right?

So we do have the potential of adding features to the core code??

If/when Asiacoin grows to be a big player in the market, you might end up with a high profile full time gig? IF the features you add over the next 12 months are significant enough, you might be able to be a key speaker at worldwide conventions?

I would imagine the challenge of 'how do we bring Asiacoin to merchants in Asia - perhaps with the approval of regulators rather then in contradiction to them' is a puzzle that might allure the likes of yourself?

No.. the PoS schedule flows automatically.. it's programmed into all clients with this update, so everyone will be on that schedule automatically without forking..

Only should we do another hardcode update to changes some core protocol parameters would it hard fork.

Not really.. that's more of a marketing task.. Smiley

Anyways should work with the foundation to brainstorm on new features.. and we can decide what is feasible/not.

Now that the wallet is released and a few exchanges are open, I'm talking to HashCo.ws to enable AC payouts. It should be up soon.

Is the coin PoW difficulty frozen at 274.46071294? What's up with that? It's stayed static over the past 5000 blocks or so, and I see the hash rate hasn't really changed either. According to the latest wallet, networkhashps  went from ~19GH at block 27377 up to ~21GH at block 32106. What's up with that? Are people still trying to mine AC directly? Or are these just miscellaneous bugs? Considering the temporary block explorer is down, I think we still have a problem. Hopefully it doesn't really matter, but given the checkered past of this coin things like this won't help instill confidence!

No need to hurry to update. I just like to post my own ideas abouth coin features. I'm going to develop own altcoin some day.

AsiaCoin is already in POS stage, no more directing mining of AC. The only way to mine AC is to mine on multipools and have your payout in AC.

...still 7 pages behind to catch up on the latest here, while reading a coding concern popped into my head, so this might be for micryon :

Still trying to wrap my head around staking, was Wondering if the new rev v2.0 software considers the 3B+ coins premined by original dev/scammer, would they still stake coin for him?

....from the new blockchain while his old version software wallet was running?

just wondering...

No, they will not stake in the new wallet (we specifically made sure of that). If he tries to do anything with his coins (including transfer/stake) using the old wallet, he will be on his own blockchain, and anyone running the new wallet will reject those blocks/blockchain.
