Personally I think reducing the PoW blocks to 22.5K while keeping the original 3.33% PoS rate is not a good idea. (22.5K vs original 100k)
This reduction is also lowering the market cap considerably unless the price adjust accordingly (i.e at least to 0.003-0.004 range considering the previous prices). But notice at least 18k blocks were mined under the original planned 100k blocks, and most of XC were traded at about 0.0007-0.001BTC range. Currently, the price is about 0.00135BTC/XC, which is too low while the total PoW supply reduced to less than to 25% of the original (the 3.33% PoS is too little to be considered until the market cap reaches certain hight and prices stabilizes). A lowered market cap means easier for manipulation.
Given above but keeping the 3.33% PoS: To me, 3.33% yearly is nothing for cryptos. Crypto world consists mainly younger and impatient people, and the prices of cryptos are highly volatile. Thus 3.33% does not justify the risk of holding the coins. 3.33% is not even high for fiat based instruments.
Therefore I call for an increased the PoS rate and decreases in time with shorter adjustment interval(months or weeks instead of year). For example: (year the percentage is still yearly but only applies to the corresponding periods) 50% for months 1-2, 40% for months 3-4, etc...
In addition, if this is not too complicated to implement, an adaptive PoS scheme could be much better. i.e: The network automatically adjusts the PoS rate to maintain the instantaneous(still discrete in time but very short intervals) total supply to obey a prescribed supply curve. Somewhat like a PoS rate difficulty: The more people try to stake, the lower the PoS rate and vice versa. Of course, the instantaneous PoS rate must be explicitly shown in the wallet so people can make informed decision when to stake.
This is actually somewhat like how banks do it. They don't give a fixed APR schedule that lasts forever. They adjust the APR based on various factors, which are far more complicated than cryptos, at least for now.

we got good buy support now..
The dark fork when mintpal enables trading scares me. Either a huge pump or a huge dump. None the less after that happens expect 5k btc volume by tomorrow night. wow im drunk that made 0 sense.
I don't think DRK will be in a pump after solving the fork issue. Right now DRK does not offers anything more than XC moreover XC dev implemented a superior annon compared to what DRK has right now. Kuddos to Evan for his work but it seems that XC dev has much more dedication and professionalism in building this coin

Looking good, though the top image of the XC is a bit blurry for me, i will get it 200+ subscribers tomorrow, so it can get added to the altcoin list. what's your screen res? 1360x768 weird it looks fine on 1080p Not sure, maybe its because I am using an old pc, just checked on my mining rig, the xc logo is slightly blurry like it has small blocks around letters, but I think that might because i sit on photoshop staring at pixels most of the time, if its looks fine for you on your pc then it should be okay :-) That could be some .jpeg compression issues, I've noticed what you mean. Let me try to fix this. edit: TRY NOW. Perfect :-)

How much of this dev work is going to be open source? What's to stop the competition just ripping off all the ideas?
^ Not trolling, serious question. Part of DRK's success has been no-one being able to clone dark send easily due to it being closed source for now.

Got coinpayments to add XC, all xc investors please donate a small amount - 0.001 btc to get us to the top of the list, top coin only has 68 votes - https://www.coinpayments.net/voteThe thing is, the vote is only 3 days from over. Their voting round last 2 weeks, and this one started on May 15. Usually they add top 4-5 coins to their merchant chains, but unless we can reach that number, it would be a waste. I have no doubt we would be top 1 if we had the full 2 weeks. But there are only 3 days left, which means we need at least 15-20 votes/ day to reach there. It is still doable given the current interest in XC. Here is how to do it: VOTE FOR XC NOW at https://www.coinpayments.net/vote . TOP 4-5 COINS WILL BE ADDED TO THEIR MERCHANT CHAIN. ALL WE NEED IS ABOUT 60 VOTES.Unlike those exchange sites vote, this only allows 1 vote for each ip address. All it takes is 0.0011BTC, and a few mins of your time to do it. Current vote status: https://www.coinpayments.net/vote-thanksStep 1: Go to https://www.coinpayments.net/voteStep 2: Select XC Step 3: Click on the bottom "Submit Vote - 0.001BTC" Step 4: Type in your email address and your name, and choose the coin you want to use to vote (0.001BTC or 0.0427190LTC or 991Doge) Step 5: Click "Complete Donation" Step 6: Send 0.0011BTC(0.0001 is transaction fee) to whatever the address they give you for your vote. Step 7: Wait about 20 mins, and check your email to confirm your vote, and DONE Step 7 is crucial. If you don't confirm it, it won't count.

i don't know how exactly it works.
but at first it split 1 xc into 2 sending to 2 different address, then on the receiving address it show exactly as the screenshot.
it works. legit.
the receiving address is here XJnHZUaD95mdPDrjXJXLU7vuAC9PVcmomW
you can check on explorer
This is interesting. It's nice to get a look at the blockchain from a test. So transactions get shuttled around and split up through multiple addresses. Won't this create even more bloat than ring signatures, if every transaction goes through x30 addresses? That could be a problem down the line. good question. may some genius answer this question. we can collect questions and ask dev OK. It's night here but I'll check back in tomorrow and see if the dev has explained how this works i.e.. the appearance of the 30 denomination addresses for one transaction - is this normal and will it lead to bloat? It's interesting. Want to know how it works. Did Dev answer my question?
