Might be worth holding off on this thread for a couple of weeks until people have the devices.  Until then this thread will just attract the 4 or 5 numpties from the other thread and it'll turn to crap in no time.
When the devices start arriving with people, you'll see plenty of info no doubt, (and much less of the 4 or 5 numpties I'm sure).

This is a thread to discuss the hardware and performance of the Bitforce Single and Bitforce Rig Box
So far, I get 0 hashes per second from the Bitforce Single and 0 hashes per second from the Bitforce Rig Box. On the other hand, they also used 0 watts of electricity to produce 0 hashes. The hardware is very photogenic. At least, it appears to be so in pictures seen so far. |

I gave up following this thing a while (months?) ago, due to the threads being just a headache to get any information out of.  Someone just wanna give me a straight up answer if these things are shipping or not, or if anyone has received / used one?
 thanks!!

I'll sum up 100 pages of posts for you: Inaba has seen and used one, but they are not ready to ship yet. Also, don't ask for shipping date predictions. When they arrive someone will post here. |

On-topic;ButterflyLabs, Have you guys had any big breakthroughs since the new year? Still on schedule? Maybe some more pictures.   STILL on schedule? For a product offered for pre-sale on Oct 1 with promised delivery in 4-6 weeks what exactly would need to happen for you to consider it "off schedule"? |

Yip, saw that - looking forward to someone getting one and proving it's real so I can place my orders Mine should be in that first batch so I'll certainly be letting people know when it arrives, however I expect people in the US will be receiving them a fair bit before mine gets here.   Either way, almost there. |

Everyone that has paid for these with paypal seems to be all warm and fuzzy feeling because of paypals protection. If I bought one of these with paypal I would be sweating bullets. I sold a notebook for $1900 on ebay and accepted paypal as a payment. They told me if the total amount was under $2000 and I had the shipping information, that proved I mailed it. I would be covered. So I took the money that I won from the item and never gave it another though. 2 months later paypal send me a letter saying I owed them all that money back. Later they sent me to collections for it. I would not trust them at all. Once butterfly actually has your money in hand (which they can do without giving you anything) I would not put my faith in paypal to refund it. |

So what you are really saying is that if BFL -as seller- should be "sweating bullets". And you are right, at least if BFL wanted to scam you. Or if you wanted to scam them . As a customer there is fairly little to be afraid off though. More so since several people have canceled their order and had zero issues getting their money back from BFL. There are already a few 100 pages worth of "discussion" about this on this board, its getting a bit old. |

This is a thread to discuss the hardware and performance of the Bitforce Single and Bitforce Rig Box
Although I applaud the new thread (someone had to start it), you can see it has already degenerated. It will only get worse. The fact is that until people get these in hand (2 weeks), there isn't anything to here except fodder for trolls. There is already a BFL thread for pre-release information (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=53530.0 ); we don't need 2 identical ones. As was wisely suggested by @simonk83 and @malevolent, please lock down this thread and re-open when these things are in peoples' hands ! |
