MartinF already made one that works. Opportunity for you to learn something Wink
Oh so you hadn't tried that one before, even though it was listed, and asked for one that would work anyway? That's weird Wink

You get more coins from burning than you do from PoW mining.
The point is to reduce dependence on PoW.

I'm worried that at least initially this is just a big botnet fest.
I've mined on several machines for half a week and only found 2 blocks so far.
Might be time to try the pools.

POOL STATS
slimcoin   dcrypt   56   355636   24917   101   8   0   89   531.54 KH

89 Orphaned ? wallet synced ? for better connection to the network change the net.cpp (8 connections to 100) and recompile. Also add maxconnections to slimcoinf.conf. Wallet is buggy and is known to get stuck on a block, maybe set a cron job to restart it every one hour ?

Wallet has 64 connections ATM. I've just installed ramdisk which will speed up things quite a bit, it was taking 5-30 seconds for each rpc command to return, that is on a SSD.

64 connections is nothing, i was about to connect another 70 on top of current 25 already connected. Let me know when its 'safe' to do so

Spread the load accross couple of wallets maybe ?

It has nothing to do with that, I have 3 wallets open already. Slimcoin itself just needs a huge number of block confirmations.

Not talking about immature blocks man, talking about pool shutting off every now and then

That was me, I have to restart to wallets/etc. after doing some updates to the pool.
BTW, ramdisk seems to be doing the trick. All is super fast now.

you don't need to supply the algo when using slimminer, dcrypt is the default algo. however, the correct cmd line would be:

Code:
minerd -a dcrypt -o SERVER:PORT -u USER -p PASS

anyway Smiley

that wont work on the pool, you need to specify stratum, eg.
Code:
minerd -a dcrypt -o stratum+tcp://SERVER:PORT -u USER -p PASS
