I had a lot of sync issues until I added upnp=1 to my conf file. Then I went from 5-8 connections to over 30 and now I stay in sync.

Took a little longer than we wanted but Cheeto has a pool running for Slimcoin now at https://slm.blockquarry.com/This works like other MPOS based pools you have encountered, register on the site, create workers and point your workers to tcp://slm.blockquarry.com:3040.
