Invalid transactions -> easy fix, since listtransactions work that shouldn't be to hard to fix then
There are unusual outgoing transactions, transactions to my own wallet for 0.XX, mining fee transactions that are over 0.3X instead of 0.01, etc.

Invalid icons -> easy fix

Dependant on invalid transactions.

PoS bug -> i really have no clue, but peercoin doesn't has so.. must be a error somewhere, hard to fix if you ask me

Terrible bug that should be fixed ASAP. You cant get any PoB blocks if the wallet keeps freezing.

rpcthreads -> alot of work, since peercoin doesn't has it either, it must be taken from litecoin

This is a must, not just for solo mining. I cant integrate my scripts with the wallet as only one connection is allowed at a time.

mining when encrypted -> PoS mining isn't possible when encrypted, PoW might be.. PoB i don't know
bug fixes -> aren't in peercoin either.

Mining PoW when encrypted is NOT possible. Minting PoB is NOT possible. PoS - i dont know and i dont care, 1% per year is worthless even for me with a huge number of coins.

The wallet will stop syncing when a PoS block is found, always happened to me and requires to backup wallet.dat, delete, restart + resync, place back wallet.dat.

yea figured, burnt coins were mising so now resyncing after deleting everything and restoring backup

Over 48hours I can't get a burned block as my wallet can't sync as usual.

Yes, same here...

Yeah agreed that this coin wallet is very buggy, and dev is somehow too busy.
Btw there was a monster miner with over 2Mhs @ blockquarry pool. Bot net?

Miner is so unoptimized i would not be suprised if 10 servers can generate 2MH/s with an optimized code. I'm getting almost the same speed per core on my it 4770k and my 4 year old i7 920. My dual core is only half the speed of the 4770k. This is just wrong. Its not optimized at all.

Seems philosopherstone is a branch (fork) from Peercoin and the dev has fixed some issues in philosopherstone

This one seems to be real good to merge into slimcoin

This commit
https://github.com/philosopherstonecoin/philosopherstone/commit/5a8477dbd05349aa3bb4bc6f12c2ff885f03dec6

Explained here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292720.msg5730714#msg5730714

It might help with the sync problems (being stuck)

Code:
Faster Start up (20x) ; Faster syncing
New repairwallet removes all orphans and cleans up Recent Transactions
Unlock wallet in client
Minting Icon

What really bothers me is that the dev used a real SLM address as the burn address. No one can be sure he does not hold the priv key for that address. He could have used a special address that can only be used to receive coins.

So primer, how much are my 7 something slm coins worth? I want to know so I can just get rid of this whole ugly ordeal, from the start the miner isn't optimized for any kind of mining. I know I can mine a lot better just alone, different algo or not.

I'm sorry slimcoin but I'm going to have to really just dump you this time and go for another coin, if it were more than one dev working on this and participating I'd say different but it isn't.

What else could I say?

If it's a non-spendable address following the BTC rules, then it should be fine.

For example, see the Counterparty proof of burn process:

Just to set things straight:

Reversing a random address to a public/private ECDSA key is nearly impossible with current hardware (even if you consider all the computers in the world).

On another note: I burnt 120 coins yesterday, already got 20 more from PoB. It Works, go burn some more. I stand corrected, burning more indeed let's you get more PoB blocks.

my log is full with lines like these:

Code:
ERROR: CheckProofOfBurn() : INFO: prev block not found
WARNING: ProcessBlock() : check proof-of-burn failed for block b59dcb653cdc6a656550785ff139f0dc26e7b01c20699860b40aa1259fc976b6

Those are warnings, it is normal as for a PoB block to be checked if it is valid, the previous block must be accepted in the blockchain.
