The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Can someone please help me with mining on the slimcoinpool?

I downloaded slimminer for windows on the OP and I used the following line in my run.bat

minerd.exe -a dcrypt -o stratum+tcp://63.141.232.170:3333 -u SYWbU97m38m6musaSU4Etj31djRXseYt1c -p x

However as soon as minerd launched and finds detects a new block it closes. Huh

Any help is greatly appreciated

Specs
Windows 7 x64
PC AMD Phenom x4

You start with the same options as i do, on a 64 bit machine
For my 32 bit machine i had to compile it myself in cygwin, posted some pages back

Perhaps you can try to compile it yourself and it won't crash then because it's optimized for your CPU then?

I'll give it a shot. Could you walk me threw the process?

http://new.hashharder.com/dcrypt/slimcoin

Updated to new wallet

OP -please add our pool to your OP post. Spread the hash. No coin should just have one pool. Centralisationi s not a good idea, neither is a single point of failure.

Blockchain is just syncing up now.

Took a little longer than we wanted but Cheeto has a pool running for Slimcoin now at https://slm.blockquarry.com/

This works like other MPOS based pools you have encountered, register on the site, create workers and point your workers to tcp://slm.blockquarry.com:3040.  There is a getting started page that helps explain the basics here:

https://slm.blockquarry.com/index.php?page=gettingstarted

I built a windows binary as well that includes a batch file for people.  You can download it and just edit the startup.bat file to change the worker name to yours.

https://slm.blockquarry.com/downloads/slmminer.zip

We have found and confirmed a few blocks so far, payouts are working correctly so come join us.

Our pool has been highly optimized for slimcoin mining, payments are processing much faster, faster wallet + less chance of getting orphan blocks.
To date more than 10,000 SLM has been paid out, view recent total payments here: http://slimcoinpool.com/payments

If no one is making a block explorer right now, I could look into it if I have some time.

I'm showing an average of 3.30 KH/s. Is this the norm for an AMD Phenom x4? Just curious  Smiley

We have a domain now, you can use stratum+tcp://pool.slimcoinpool.com:3333

FYI, the address pool.slimcoinpool.com cannot be resolved by google's DNS

nslookup pool.slimcoinpool.com 8.8.8.8

EDIT: Until DNS issue is resolved I use stratum+tcp://63.141.232.170:3333 instead of stratum+tcp://pool.slimcoinpool.com:3333
