I can't sync Sad
My desktop gets stuck at 10559. I tried deleting EVERYTHING a few times, always the same.
So I tried an external server. Fresh install, never seen SLM before, gets stuck at 624!

Been trying since hours now, delete everything in .slimcoin except the config with the nodes, restart slimcoind - and it always stops at the same blocks.

Quote
./slimcoind getmininginfo
{
    "blocks" : 624,

./slimcoind getconnectioncount
25

Read the previous posts. Seems it's a common problem with the wallet.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I've been saying it all along, this is the most incompetent dev i've ever had the 'pleasure' of dealing with.

why?
help!

It should be:

Code:
CFLAGS="-O3 -march=native" ./configure

not

Code:
CFLAGS="-03 -march=native" ./configure

so, it's an uppercase "o" not a zero.

done.

Someone good at math calculate PoB reward when 200,000 coins are burnt. 77k burnt so far and reward keeps dropping fast, currently at 19SLM.
Same for PoW. We are at 11/12 now, what happens when diff goes up by 10x or 100x ? Current difficulty : 0.01124055 , what would the reward be at difficulty 1.11240555 ?

Does the reward drop linearly or will it eventually stop at XX ?

EDIT: Reward looks broken to me.. Actually i am sure it is.

ANYONE ? THOUGHTS ?

The reward is based on the network hashrate AFAIK.

Yes and its broken! If the hash rate goes up by a 10x or 100x the reward will be so small it will be useless. 10x the current hashrate = PoW reward 1SLM ?? 800k burnt coins (should happen within a week or two) PoB reward 2SLM ?
Keep in mind difficulty/hash rate is so small its as if we launched yesterday. If the coin survives another week or two an increase of 10x or 100x is to be expected.

Take a look at devs OP :
Proof-of-Burn blocks: max 250 coins
Proof-of-Work blocks: max 50 coins
This was valid for the first 5 minutes after launch. The first PoB block i received was only worth 64SLM (30. May at 18:50CET). The first PoW block i mined, and i mined block #2, was 42SLM

BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Unless it stops at one point, eg lowest PoW reward = 10 , lowest PoB reward = 10 ? I seriously doubt it though, dev is too stupid. I cant read C , someone who can please give it a look.

I agree. It's counter intuitive IMHO. For a coin to grow, the network hashrate has to grow... There is no way around it.

Not sure you are getting the point, the reward system is broken, the rewards, both PoW and PoB are getting smaller at a much faster rate. If difficulty/network hash was to increase by 10x or 100x the reward would be almost non existant.

I get your point, the block reward is based solely on difficulty. It's difficult to express mathematically, because it uses some sort of incremental formula to calculate the block reward, it stops when the lower bound = upper bound.
Here is the pseudocode:
Code:
maxreward = 50 // or 250 for PoB
lower = 0.01
upper = maxreward
while(lower + 0.01 <= upper)
{
    mid = (lower + upper)/2
    if(mid > maxreward/(diff^(1/4)))
        upper = mid
    else
        lower = mid
}
reward = upper
reward = (reward/100)*100 // cut off decimals below 1 cent
I don't have any graphing software here, but anyone willing to run this code and generate a graph with the reward based on difficulty, ranging from 0 to 1?

So everytime I hit a POS block.  My wallet won't sync and I lose the coins since they are being staked.

Will a wallet update fix this issue?  My # of slim coins keep going down after they stake.

Looks like this:

what is this, diff should be the other way around. PoB difficulty should only relate to # of burnt coins not the hash rate.

Just imagine it the correct way, then Smiley
( the PoB subsidy is unrelated, was just checking against MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_BURN and bnProofOfBurnLimit )

What is this amateur hour ? Do it right man, make a new one. So at diff 1 reward goes to zero ? Smiley something is not right here.
