Hi,
I compiled the 1.3.0.0 windows versions and uploaded them to https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/releases/tag/1.3.0.0
Please backup your wallet first before you test them.
Enjoy!
Andre
and the bounty goes to Ajo!
Got the wallet on my separate machine waiting for a sync looks good to me, will update the op website etc very soon!
What did you compile on windows + was it off memory or from a tutorial Tongue

IE: Subsidy change does not kick in until block 575k
I compiled on Windows 8 with MinGW64 (http://mingw-w64.sourceforge.net/). First compiled QT 5.3.1 from source, then dependencies and finally the casinocoind.exe and casinocoin-qt.exe. I already had the environment up and running so was not that difficult, the problem was adjusting the casinocoin-qt.pro file to allow correct compilation. I will try in the next week to see if i can cross-compile for windows from linux as well. Then i will create and share a VirtualBox image that allows Linux and Windows compilation so in the future everybody can do the build. (you may sent the bounty in CSC to CazBuTh2CFFs154pC3Y7ggT6SLhjU2hJNd Wink )

thank you so much. this will certainly help with the release procedures.

i'll continue working on the osx client compile as well. i created a 10.8 vm for this. However, i think i need to downgrade to a lower version.

Hope we can get the OSX wallet out by this week!
If you aren't able to get it ill do my best and make an attempt on a VM as well.

Added a explorer to casinocoin.org
works perfect from the last few things ive checked.
can view it here http://explorer.casinocoin.org/

Spakler sent me a script to show some casinocoin stats.
Going to spruce this page up

I made a headless one for osx but I can't seem to get a release app version to compile. It's such a pain in the ass.

MANDATORY UPDATE TO v1.3.0.0 - HARDFORK OCCURRED AT BLOCK 546250

A hardfork occurs when the new coin specs go into effect...not when you release a new client version with it set to change after a certain point.

So the question is...when does the hardfork actually occur....could look at the source but just wanted to point out the hardfork did not actually take effect yet.

Edit: To answer my own question...hardfork will actually take effect at block 575000. Update before then or you will be on the wrong chain.

Everyone running a p2pool node will need to update/change one line of code at or around block 575000:

Code:
266	-	        SUBSIDY_FUNC=lambda height: 50*100000000 >> (height + 1)//3153600,
266 +         SUBSIDY_FUNC=lambda height: 10*100000000,

Also seen here: https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2pool/commit/da937f7a6ec3fe000ce427207f724b520a92fe10

Just change that one line in p2pool/bitcoin/networks.py and restart. Try to do it as close to block 575000 as possible.

Hard fork occurs when new clients are released that ignore the clients with the old protocol. That has already occurred. The chains are already diverging. If you make a transaction on the 1.2 chain right now, it will not be in the 1.3 chain. If you mine on the 1.2 chain, those will not be on the 1.3 chain. 1.3 clients currently ignore 1.2 clients.

Wow, so you released a client that immediately created a forked blockchain?! That essentially gave no one time to update.... irresponsible in my opinion.

major changes slated for ten days out. really, no choice but to rip the bandaid off fast. 1.2 is a dead chain. upfront we did everything we could to flip cryptsy, pool, and other providers over. I knew it would take a few days to shake out. This type of upgrade will never go 100% smooth. It's like herding cats.

The discussion is welcome. Maybe it can help us design a smoother release procedure. There are few things that didn't go as planned already that we'll address before a future release, specifically with compiling clients and appropriate compilation instructions in the documentation for example. If you can help us design a better release procedure, we'd appreciate it. Wink

- Today i upgraded the https://www.megamineros.com/CSC pool to the latest version. Some very important bugfixes and security issues were solved. Hope you all like the new UI as well Wink

- Secondly i was able today to cross-compile the casinocoin-qt wallet for windows from a linux virtualbox machine! I have it downloading the blockchain at this moment but looks very good. The executable is a bit larger than the windows compiled version (about 25Mb instead of 23Mb) but that has to do with some precompiled libraries i needed to use instead of compiling all from source. For the end result that has no influence at all. I will now add the linux build as well to the same virtualbox and then create some bash scripts that glue all together to create an easy build system.

CSC clearly has a strong technical following with plenty of people who know about the world of crypto currencies helping out, however i have said it before on here, you really need more marketing, people who directly track down owners of online casinos and convince them to use the coin, it may even be worth someone dedicating all there time to contacting these casino owners through social media, telephone and online chat as i dont think the casinocoincity site is enough to make this a truly successful coin, it needs that sales expert touch to convince casino sites and eventually the big boys like paddy power and william hill

I've been thinking about this lately as well. Now that the v1.3 update has occurred, and block rewards will be dropping to 10CSC soon, what are the next steps that will be taken to get people to adopt CasinoCoin and make it valuable?
