My miners kept hanging using the nist5 miner, maybe about once a day which is enough to be a pain. I'm now using cgwatcher, only just learned when you add the pools just point it at your .bat file and you don't need to mess around with .conf files or settings. I have set it to restart the miner if no accepts for 9 mins  Grin

Thanks to all who have helped my hash rate double

The combination of the Talkcoin coinmarketcap listing and the big release for end of June should really push the price up.

Agree. If we have good new features, it would be ridiculous to see Talkcoin under Piggycoin...

I've got the same predicament, every 3 months I get a juicy power bill to pay for my farm, so I do 10 weeks of accumulation and 2 weeks of instamining to pay bills.

I've gotta do 2 weeks of instamining now and I'm not sure what to mine.  I could just instamine TAC but I could never bring myself to sell any TAC lol...

I don't trust coinwarz/whatmine etc, they always try to sell you the wrong coins so they can mine the low diff coins...

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

What is going on with difficulty on this coin?
So it's decided by voting?
I bought a bunch of TAC but doesn't seem such a good idea to allow voting decide difficulty.

77    Talkcoin   $ 156,579   $ 0.034172   4,582,036 TAC   $ 12,292

LOL 30% increases since my last post. Now people begin to panic buy? LOL
I wonder how look the sell order in Bittrex will last. It looks thiner and thiner every minute.
Someone still want to sell his TAC under 10k sat? LOL  Grin

I've got the same predicament, every 3 months I get a juicy power bill to pay for my farm, so I do 10 weeks of accumulation and 2 weeks of instamining to pay bills.

Dude me too. I have the huge 6 months bill waiting for me and I still didn't sell any of my lovely coin.  Embarrassed
Instamine is much more difficult and time consuming than 4 months ago, now people with your farm size is flooding bitcointalk forum and waiting for every opportunity to instamine.
Right now for AMD farm I think mining at trademybit and use auto exchange is a pretty ok option.

People at the chat room screaming again for 1 TAC block reward.
Someone good at math could please look at the trading volume of Polo and Bittrex, you should understand why a lower block reward doesn't necessary relate with a higher price.
Block reward lower than 20 TAC at this stage would do more harm to the coin than good.
I will continue to vote 50 TAC because I know a lot of people still too naive and thinking 1 TAC per block would magically bring the TAC price 2000% higher.

Isn't 78 million coins a year a lot?

What do you think which scenario is better?
1. 200k TACs per month for first 6 months  and then suddenly 6mil TACs for month for next 6 month?
2. Or 6mil TACs per month and then gradually decrease to end of year.

Do you think in which scenario some serious investors will consider to invest in TAC ?
Please stop this mentality. At this stage we need more of people to know about TAC, to use TAC. The 1 TAC block reward or too high TAC price would scare every newcomer who want to join.

In reality of course the 50 or 1 TAC per block scenario couldn't happen, so I agree that my examples are a little bit extreme. But every block reward change more than 10 folds would be dangerous.

I have released an optimised version of nist5 for sgminer (and amd). It is based on x11mod from lasybear
It works best on 14.6 amd drivers.

It was tested so far on my R9-290x and allows to almost double the hashrate.
On the standard talkcoin kernel, I was getting around 8.5MHash/s (on 14.6 drivers)
With this kernel I get 15.8MHash/s (average) at 1050MHash/s

To use it:
"sgminer.exe --kernel nist5 --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://erebor.dwarfpool.com:3350 -u Your_Tac_Address -p1 -I 19"

I highly recommend to keep an eye on the temperature as the card can run hot (80°C) and over/underclock according to your liking.

The source can be found at: https://github.com/djm34/sph-sgminer_x11mod
binaries with ADL (fan temp) support for windows: http://www31.zippyshare.com/v/26248514/file.html

Donations are welcomed (since I double your hashrate  Grin)
    BTC: 1NENYmxwZGHsKFmyjTc5WferTn5VTFb7Ze
    TAC: TuqNvPoQxghHfzwnPpAxSTiYoN6FM8LM5p

Well I hope there is a bounty for that too  Grin

it seems that using xIntensity instead of Intensity is better. My sgminer is a lot more stable using xIntensity.

This changing block reward is not a good concept I think.

It should be related to supply of miners...

I agree with this... Happy to leave other things open to voting however manipulation of the block reward regardless of the amount of miners is bad news long term...
