TL;DR

so if I find my MMXIV wallet file - and open the client - I guess I'll be pleased to see it has a zero balance since the dev has given away the coins I mined.  Because silly me - why would you presume that after you mine a coin and let it sit that the dev would make a hard fork and then give away the unclaimed coins.  Sorry to be late to the party - but keeping up on every alt coin is about impossible.  Enjoy the 4.5 coins you gave away.  I'll chalk it up as a forced charitable donation - kind of like what obama wants - wealth redistribution.

Just got back from out of town and noticed I have some bonus coin!  What a pleasant surprise, Thanks!   Grin

No problem. I've been using the unclaimed MMXIV from the chain switch to do giveaways to random miners on the multipool. Thanks for mining with us!  Wink

Unclaimed MMXIV, does that mean taking from people who couldn't get your wallet to work?
I can't find out how this coin works yet.
Can I mine MMXIV, if it's POS? Do only rich wallets mine?
Is this now a coin, for rich kids born with a silver spoon?
90% of the world is poor, so this coin is not for average people?
How many coins will be mined?

There was a month to convert coins to the new chain. I asked you on the last page what wallet problems you had, with no response, as well as posted a new client for you to try, with no response whether it worked or not

Post number 1455 answered what the error was.
Post number 1456 did not solve the problem.
I seen no reason to repeat what was already posted.

How are MMXIV coins mined now? It's taking forever to read all the pages to get any info.

From what understand, everyone who didn't read your posts for a month, lost their coins.
These stolen coins are given to miners who go to a "special pool", to mine altcoins for a rich wallet that makes and sells MMXIV coins.

The only way to get MMXIV coins now, is to mine on a "special pool" for altcoins, and then sell the altcoins for MMXIV coins.
What's the purpose for special multipool. I already use a multipool; seems smarter to use a multipool that is reliable.
Are MMXIV coins still POS on an exchange?

Is the only way to get new MMXIV coins, to buy from a rich wallet?

Well I can't read minds to know that the client we posted yesterday to try to fix errors for like 2 people didn't work, but I have a feeling you didn't even try the new wallet. You still haven't even told me what won't work, so I'm not sure how you would like us to fix an issue that we aren't aware of

If you want to think I stole them (after a month with many, many posts, as well as huge red letters at both the top and bottom of the OP), then sure...I stole them, whatever

Yes, you can mine on our multipool to get them. We offer 4 mining algorithms now (SHA256, Scrypt, x11, and x13). You can no longer mine M other than on our multipool (which mines other coins, sells them, and buys, then pays out, in Maieuticoin). You can use another multipool if you want, but you won't get paid in Maieuticoin

Other than our pool, yes, the only way to get them is to buy them

TL;DR

so if I find my MMXIV wallet file - and open the client - I guess I'll be pleased to see it has a zero balance since the dev has given away the coins I mined.

Think of it how you want to. Everyone had over a month to trade them in. It's funny you guys are coming here the day after the deadline to call it shady after, allegedly, not checking this thread for what, 5 weeks? Pretty coincidental...

Yah I happened to be browsing the altcoin announcement forum section tonight and saw this.  Believe it or not - not all of us have time to watch every thread on this forum.

While I haven't opened this wallet in a while because it's not high on my priority list - when I last checked I had stashed away the 4.50889564 MMXIV I mined.

Sure coincidental... it's like $25.... it's not like it's on the top priority list of watching and seeing what goes on with it.  Sorry don't have all the time in the world to wonder what happened and watch the progress.  It was promoted as a coin that once it was mined then it wouldn't need to be monitored... that's what you got... mined and then ignored.

I sent you a message with the information about the wallet.

You sent me an address. That does no good. Even if it were before the deadline, you didn't send me your Private Key or wallet, so you wouldn't have gotten them anyway

Nobody ever said you wouldn't have to watch it. I'm not sure where that came from. We went to PoS to secure the blockchain instead of waiting for someone to attack a coin with no hashpower

I'm sorry you are upset, but I can't make exceptions now, or I will have to do it forever. People can easily move coins to a new wallet and double claim. I'm sure some have tricked me with that already, but I didn't mention that was possible until now because I didn't want to give anyone the idea

Again, I'm sorry you are upset, but there is nothing I can do now. Not to mention you wouldn't have gotten your coins anyway even if it was before the deadline since you didn't send a Private Key or a wallet. Public keys do nothing to prove you own the address and the coins

Ok, cool, glad you're back in. Got it in the OP now under the other clients in case anyone else gets the JIT error. Thanks for letting me know!

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm happy we got it fixed right away on the first try  Smiley

Yep, you definitely don't want to hold M coin if you don't have time to follow this thread. There is no push notification for important announcements.

The pool is run by ThePeePs, not the coin dev team. He will be back tomorrow

Agreed. But just to be clear, I'm not passing blame to him at all. I am very impressed with ThePeePs' work and very grateful he has done all of this for us. Without him we would be far worse off

As a side note, he has spent many, many hours working both by himself, and syncing things up with me, to ensure we can give you guys the best possible experience we can. I'm pretty sure he's going to be redoing the front end soon to match the new webpage (not 100% certain) to keep things feeling smooth and integrated

I'm sorry for the downtime

Pool is back online, got a spike on the CPU the killed the pool's NIC (which has now been fixed).  Payout will be coming for sha and scrypt and about 30 - 60 min.

Blocks were not lost, I had to disable a coin, as it was disabled on Bittrex, gumming up the works.  I has now been re-enabled, and will be part of the next shift's payout.  No blocks or shares have been lost.

Is the pool stats page having problems? It shows the latest shift end (#LongestShiftEverOver), but the block and share stats appear to be old or incorrect. #TimeForABonus
