I received the same email.  I think it will have pretty much no effect at all, as the 36 coins listed probably have almost zero trading volume.  

Alt's are pegged to BTC so when Bitcoin goes down, the wider crypto market destabilizes, like it has since last summer.  Obviously then, to get a boost in crypto coins, we desperately need BTC to rise again..... and it will

That's not to say there won't be coins that are successful while BTC is down.... take HYPER for example, if you look at the long term chart, there's not much to complain about
