Let me guess the outcome. "Trusted" community members are going to conclude that the implementation works remarkably well, followed by a bunch of screenshots, tweets and blog posts. Regular Joe however won't get access to any instructions or wallet to verify that himself. So to prove that this is sketchy let's take evtrmm's screenshot as reference: launch wallet in testnet > qtx11coin-qt.exe -testnet launch debug window after syncing type > gettransaction f7fabf4bad77f39ecf833cf4b45eb371d41bf57f49c3ef05113ebf2f268ce73a it's going to list the transaction info in json { "txid": "f7fabf4bad77f39ecf833cf4b45eb371d41bf57f49c3ef05113ebf2f268ce73a", "version": 1, "time": 1401474653, "locktime": 0, "vin": [ { "txid": "d9b24d42f453c360ca48a81903f870eebaacf7e1e8250c10a58b67ea6a39ed5d", "vout": 0, "scriptSig": { "asm": "3046022100bad59b019c4c608b035f1981ee77f2412f897358a505e298754178995518225f02210 0b5d9f86172846052ebd6e554fb5eb66b08ea3ca38a6dac5be6f991adf0a5590501 02b63c16b0e918c690c218494511866c560ba66ed227199334ccac9534e3740706", "hex": "493046022100bad59b019c4c608b035f1981ee77f2412f897358a505e298754178995518225f022 100b5d9f86172846052ebd6e554fb5eb66b08ea3ca38a6dac5be6f991adf0a55905012102b63c16 b0e918c690c218494511866c560ba66ed227199334ccac9534e3740706" }, "sequence": 4294967295 } ], "vout": [ { "value": 789.170554, "n": 0, "scriptPubKey": { "asm": "OP_DUP OP_HASH160 b0921e5ffc3ff824b3e572af580e7e7cc7ee5d9a OP_EQUALVERIFY OP_CHECKSIG", "hex": "76a914b0921e5ffc3ff824b3e572af580e7e7cc7ee5d9a88ac", "reqSigs": 1, "type": "pubkeyhash", "addresses": [ "mwcaGKQNeJGuaan2m1YQHfSoYJQV3ykiu5" ] } }, { "value": 10.508227, "n": 1, "scriptPubKey": { "asm": "OP_DUP OP_HASH160 56c688c361d217cb62729f4d5131ce0e712cf2b6 OP_EQUALVERIFY OP_CHECKSIG", "hex": "76a91456c688c361d217cb62729f4d5131ce0e712cf2b688ac", "reqSigs": 1, "type": "pubkeyhash", "addresses": [ "moRnEx9drbUXfzmpWUTj2woMkv1mSTbAYD" ] } } ], "blockhash": "000004f7a1466d9d84b7a9c4ff76b5f02cb4dc1474070ba8c5159e8ea64ebdf1", "confirmations": 75, "txntime": 1401474619 } As you can see you can clearly see the values and addresses, so all the wallet does is replacing the sent from text field as 'unknown' in the GUI ... genius really. With a proper block explorer one could hop around, otherwise it's inconvinient so most people won't even verify it in the wallet. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Unless the dev has a reply to this it does seem somewhat fishy. Nothing against the dev or the XC coin team, but you must understand that people have been burned many times. I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt for now. I'll sell a portion of my holdings now and wait this out. (Minor crash incoming please don't start panic-ing)

How much time does it take to make a testnet block explorer? Make a bounty and get it going if it shuts people up. Let's just do it.
Agreed. But you know what will happen next? "UH we need to see the code for the Block Explorer, we think it is manipulating the results"

Well isn't it released soon anyway? Thought I read the dev say that it would have bugs but would be released So we'll see for ourselves

first thing, we all know this is not a finished product. period. it has been stated as such. Now the question of making a decentralized anon wallet was in question, so I give you: I did not initiate this transaction, yet I saw it come through on my laptop here. no matter what is said, The fact is that the developer is still here, he continues working on the project, and we are FAR from finished. Troll on.

I tried using candl`s command to check the transaction ID but it says ID doesnt exist. I added the testnet parameter when executing the program so it should have worked if Candl wasnt spreading Fud.
Most likely the testnet of the new wallet is on a whole new blockchain to the current release wallet testnet, this makes sense as the dev says the new wallet isnt available for testing yet.
So this is definitely fud.

don't get fooled guys. check your download folder if you still have the XCv0.9.1.4x11-coin-1.0.rar release, unzip it, open the .bat file and add "-testnet" to the command. then start the client with the .bat file.
this old release has the centralized mixer implementation in it. and big surprise anon payments work with it... it is very likely you are getting fooled by screenshots that show these old centralized anon transfers instead of the shiny new xnode transfers...
@atsecure the mixer node is still exploitable btw...
can anyone confirm this? seems interesting and could explain

not sure what to believe...... If you buy a coin when you aren't sure about it, then you are gambling. Simple as that.

It is a requirement to have a testnet block explorer especially when you are staking the whole entire coin on the promise of being anonymous. To simply show a screenshot of "Unknown", and then have the dev refuse to show the explorer transaction is alarmingly scary.

Definitely something fishy going on. As you can see the two addresses DO exist in the testnet, yet the transaction ID has magically disapeared after the post earlier. Though its possible the new tests are being conducted on a seperate `copied` blockchain from the original testnet, if this is true then I apologise for this post. And Im not trying to spread fud as I own 30k XC myself.
