What does it mean when coins are minting? Does that mean you are staking them?

Why does the reward time keep changing?
Do I need to have my computer on in order for them to mint?

Yes you are staking coins. The reward will change every time depending on your luck but will always total 3.333% per year. Your computers needs to be on and unlocked for staking.

Once you stake an amount and receive a reward, they will be verified by the network.

Can somebody explain to me how the blockchain of XC works?

I only see inputs and outputs and I have no idea what they do or what they mean.

XC's blockchain works the same way as Bitcoin's. Try reading up on Wikipedia.

Actually, just read Satoshi Nakamoto's whitepaper. Seriously, I couldn't recommend that paper more highly to absolutely everyone in crypto.

If you can send private transactions then the xmixer should work just wait for it to receive transactions.. you should run the -distmix-autonode command
