Rockminer, can you provide dB (for noise) estimate for one unit or four units at 1m distance?
Video is not clear on that.

Exact dB level needs to be further tested. Will release it soon.

Does the price include shipping ?

No. Shipping fee will be calculated separately according to different regions.

I agree with the minimum order pricing for a unit specifically designed for mass adoption. It reduces the portion of costs being paid to a courier company significantly.

The reason why we set 4 units as minimum order for overseas market instead of 1 or 2 is that the cost for shippment is too high. DHL in China is rather expensive, we can get relatively cheaper price only if the goods reaches certain level of weight. Please kindly understand of it.

Anxious to see a review up.  Any way you can send a sample rxbox to Dogie for review?  And how soon can these resellers get there shipments?
These are 750w per unit?  Would also like to know how cool they run as well as db.

R60 is very interesting. It is too bad minimum order quantity is 4 though. The problem being that the set would require more current than a single US circuit can provide. So if we haven't already run electric for a small farm then we are either doing that or running extension cords or networking cable to connect to the Pi.

I'm thinking about this from the perspective that was mentioned: getting more people involved in mining. This is targeted at someone with lower risk tolerance, who may not already be involved in mining, but who still has the infrastructure or space to run something that power hungry (in Quantity 4). It seems like a narrow market.

Is R60 going to be sold by resellers in quantity 1 or only in higher quantity?

Thanks.

Yes. Directly buying from ROCKMINER official website, minimum order is 4 units. If just buy 1, you may buy from reseller.

Its an interesting project however there are two points that could be on an option decided by the buyer in order
to increase safety.

1) have the option to buy just 2 x-box and not thrue reseller as that will increase the price so it will become less profitable for the simple user.If this the one you try to protect after all.
2) You mention your payments in case of more BTC produced in the 60 days period will have the company reputation as assurance.

My dear I dont question your company reputation but we have seen a number of companies and number of buyers that relied on companies reputation and were pretty much fucked up and lost their money.

Why do not you follow the example of Bitmain and deliver only what is already produced.

Also want to comment its not good to work with other people money OK we are all miners
but being on the safe side its critical after what we have seen.

Make a market research ask your potential buyers and act accordigly
this way my personal opinion your wallet will grow more safelly.

from my point of view is that Antminer S1 has been so far the most successful bitcoin miner
the company that will make use of the thousand power supplies already used from Antminer S1
will have a huge advantage against the others.

I hope you deliver what you say and hope to become your customer one day.

I fully support Roxie with his 60 day ROI philosophy.  Great to see a miner manufacturer willing to take steps to decentralize the mining industry.

yeah this looks to be a case of me getting 1 unit from a USA reseller.  So if canary or crazy guy get them I will most likely buy just the one.  In the meantime I have 2 r-boxes very nice gear.

I have to make a complaint since this is the official r-box thread.. you were wrong not to make the jack an exact fit to grid seed jacks.

I have 35 hard wired atx adapter's for grid seeds they don't fit  you hurt yourselves sales.

here is a great set of wires for grid seeds

http://www.gawminers.com/6-pin-pcie-to-3-x-2-1mm-barrel-tip-power-cable/

does not fit your r-boxes   plain dumb on your designer's part.

So every grid seed 5 chip guy that turned them in and purchased some grid seed blades has two or three sets of cables that won't fit your gear.  This will slow your sales of this item a lot. I would have grabbed 10 to 15  easy keeping them for a month or so and then selling them in a set of three with a pcie cable adapter. Not now.

So I will run six of these r-boxes with this breakout box.
(this is mstrongbow's image he is making a case for the breakout box)

Bundle them with the cases when they come out, I'm really uncomfortable about them being sold alone at the moment.

They work perfectly on all surfaces and being held by bare hand while running ~500w thru them. Really no problem with them outside crappy astetics, and a ~550w limit.

I see a potential conundrum with 4 units minimal order, which requires 2 X15a, 110v circuits in US. Besides, people like to try the product first to see if it is up to speed so to speak.

BTW, hosting quotes for Rockminer RXBOX are VERY expensive (perhaps because of non-stackable factor or circuits requirements), it would be not very practical to colocate in US, essentially.
