I am having the craziest problem with 4 R-Boxes. I can get 4 to start on almost any system but they drop off so only one is left working. Sometimes only one will detect. I have used the Razorfish hub, orico hub. MinePeon Pi, Windows 7 system and windows 8 system. They will not all work together for long at all. The only time they do work properly is on CrazyGuys cgminer fork. Any ideas what is going on? They are powered on a 750 watt PSU. I also used the black arrow breakout board same results.

No they are both USB 2. I use the Razorfish hub for everything from RedFurys to OneString miners. The Orico work with all the miners as well. It just came today as I wanted to make sure it is not the hub. I am stumped. I even connected right into the pi with one and it has stopped mining since I posted in this thread. So odd. Even though I compiled and put BFGMiner 4.2 on the MinePeon I have no idea how to do it with cgminer. LOL Or I would try the newest cgminer. Are either of those USB 3?

use the latest driver for cgminer 4.3.3: https://github.com/rockminerinc/cgminer-for-R-BOXMake sure your PSU is 12V 5A for each one.

I've only been able to get bfgminer to recognize my RXBOX on my windows controller, and that's after adding it a couple times after launch with the m+ option. Cgminer 4.4.0 supports the rbox, but sometimes recognizes the units as an AMU bE100 device. I think the best bet for now is to stay with the customized 4.3.3 build until support for the devices is refined in each of the main branches.

Rockxie should take a look at the request Luke-jr has made about setting 2 values on the USB controller chip.... Buy I've not heard back. With those values set, both cgminer and bfgminer would be able to instantly recognize rockminer's device and treat it properly. That USB controller chip was used on USB sticks and can be a source of issues for both bfgminer and cgminer. No they are both USB 2. I use the Razorfish hub for everything from RedFurys to OneString miners. The Orico work with all the miners as well. It just came today as I wanted to make sure it is not the hub. I am stumped. Ok I solved it temporarily. MultiMiner to the rescue. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248173.0MultiMiner is very robust and uses BFGMiner for it's back end as well as other mining software packages for different scrypt coins and such. What I did was plug all 4 into my Hub. I let them detect and setup. Then I had MM scan hardware. It only found one of the 4. So I turned off the Hub and turned it back on. Had MM scan again and all 4 showed up. From there I just chose the coin I wanted to mine and they took right off. I cannot get them to run reliably on the MinePeon with BFGMiner or cgminer. I was able to compile both in MinePeon ok to the latest versions. (It is great getting back into Linux. LOL) So as for right now the best software to use to mine with the R-Boxes is the custom cgminer by CrazyGuy that works great and now also MultiMiner using the latest BFGMiner. I will have the info in my review to help people out with links to all the threads here. GrazyGuy gave me an interview to go along with the review and Alex of Rockminer is getting back to me with some interview questions as well he said. I am going to see if he has time to do a separate interview about Rockminer. I am trying to get together the Bitcoin to get a Rocket Miner so I can do a head to head comparison with my Antminer S3. So much fun. No they are both USB 2. I use the Razorfish hub for everything from RedFurys to OneString miners. The Orico work with all the miners as well. Is this what causes cgminer to see it as the different miner sometimes? Rockxie should take a look at the request Luke-jr has made about setting 2 values on the USB controller chip.... Misinformation at it's best. I count: - 1x rPi power cable; - 5x USB cables; - 1x LAN cable; - 4x power cables; - 1x PSU cable That makes it 12 cables. Only double than your stated 6 cables. Ok.

I did miscount (forgot psu/pi cables) But some of those cables you just can't do without like the 4 pcie cables(could probably do with 2), psu cable, rPi power cable, and at least one cable from the controller to the miner. So there are really only 5 extra cables vs a single board miner. Regardless you are the only one who cares about the extra cables.
