The sad truth is in the end of the day there is no way to ban trolls completely, they will emerge anyhow with different usernames etc. Afaik best way is self-cencorship (i.e. total ignorance) and only focus on the topic. It is my preferred way to deal with it.

OMG I'm away for a few days and just had to do 4h of reading to get up to date.

I am amazed how fast community members stepped forward to change management to a more decentralized way.

To be honest I dont care If UF had socks or not. I'd rather have him in charge of those accounts than most people here.
 UTOPIAN DID A FINE JOB BRINGING US ALL TOGETHER , so never forget that.

Meanwhile I thank every community member and DEV for making NEM reality. Seing how well we reacted I am confident we are ready for the long road ahead. And yes there will be haters, but for every hater in the world there are two lovers

What rule he broke?  Doesn't the "break" need 3 accounts with stakes? Which are those 3 accounts?

He was already getting 50+ fucking stakes as a developer. wTF is wrong with you guys? He admited in his resignation that he has several more "sock puppets" on the stake list  but he "forgot" his password. He lied about it when asked directly by MSIN if he has sock puppets months ago. He claimed he never intended to cash out, but already had on of his sock puppet siting on Nxt AE

Yes, 50+ as 10% is 400 million nem divide it by 8 and it's 50 and his own stake that he was getting, so it's 50+  Plus he baldly lied when asked directly if he has sock puppets.

I think that the "many more" refers to many persons helping in testing, reviews, audits, logo/design reviews, etc etc.

It's 25%,the biggest of all of the Cryptocurrency as i know, u know BCNEXT created nxt, but the nxt teams are not so high proportion and the progress of development is also fast,nem claiming that he was the fairest, but it is unfair for the shareholders, because the development team accounted for 25%，it's ridiculous

Core dev team gets 10% to build the V1 system. That is only about 1% per dev for everyday work without pay for over half a year. Not too much at all.

The remaining is to be used for marketing and promotion and post-V1 dev for the first 1 or 2 years of NEM. This is open for any stakeholder who contributes, so if you want more NEM, then do something and help us all. I think it is better to distribute NEM like this to people who do things rather than just give it randomly to everyone, even trolls who join up.

I don't have any stakes of Nem and I can't afford 0.1. It is too much.   I can buy after launch when I can buy smaller amount. Just hope price doesn't go too high before launch.

I think this is good message for Nem. There maybe more who can't afford hundreds of dollars, but can afford maybe ten bucks. This potential does not appear right now in the stakemarkets, but will be after launch when you can buy just 1000 or something instead of 100 000.

I have to continue I think there should be way bought 0.01 Nemtoken or something. It would be good if somehow someone could organise group boughts. Or just wait to lauch? Price of Nemtoken has been very stable, but if it rise much 0.01 could be good for fair distribution.

Logistics are just too hard to do that. I totally agree with you and you are right, but I don't see a good way to do this, so it is probably not going to happen.

Would it be hard or even possible to create a decentralized faucet in NEM client that is funded by donations? So when people buy their first alias, send their first message, they don't have to use an outside website. Just brainstorming.

It'd be cool to create games people play rather than just a faucet. That why it would take time to get the NEM, which would reduce the likelihood of spamming.

If we made an adventure game, we could tell a compelling story about creating a new world economy based on financial freedom, decentralization, and equality

I remember this game back in the day. I have only a few hours of experience coding a game(it was javascript), but I'm sure we have someone around here that could create something much better gameplay wise than that atleast (That game is already 10 years old).
