OP updated.

I hope you like it. Smiley

Looks great, but weren't there some links to instructions on how to set up a node on Amazon and Digital Ocean?  I think those were very useful and I had been eyeing them to set up my own Delegate node.  I think these instruction pages are here, you may want to put a link to them (back) on the OP...

I updated the file name, I just felt "node" fit better then "windows" even though these are guides for windows users. I would rather not confuse ppl thinking these are running on windows. I also updated the port number to reflect the port used in 2.0 (8040), this will be helpful when setting up the firewall on AWS. I changed the links in your quote above.

Thanks for this post, I was using the old port 6040 from the 0.1.9 version of the instructions and not getting the web wallet to come up.  Now I know why.

Why do you recommend setting up x64 server? Huh
Isn't x64 systems more memory consumable? Roll Eyes

Isn't x64 systems more memory consumable? Roll Eyes

1. The server I've recommended only costs $5.00 a month to run
2. With this configuration my nodes are only using approx. 22% of the total RAM, so I don't believe memory is an issue here
3. My choice of host & location speaks volumes when you look at my up-time Wink, see below:

If you need any assistance, come and chat with in #CryptiTalk. I would be happy to help.

Created my delegate thread for those interested. Posted a little bit about myself, my delegate account links for the block explorer, as well as hardware it's running on.

Today something else will be released. It will enhance the user experience dramatically. Wink

I will make the announcement as soon as I have the download links, probably in a few hours.

Crypti Lite v0.2.0 Release

After days of testing and fixing we can finally launch Crypti Lite (v0.2.0)! It allows you to have all conventional Crypti client functionalities without the need to download the blockchain on your computer. Crypti Lite is a huge step towards a much better user experience, because after the installation you have access to your XCR instantaneous. No need to wait for syncing or loading.

How is it working?

Crypti Lite connects to a random peer which is online. We think that many of these will be the active 101 delegates. Thanks to DPoS and the underlying functionalities they should be always online and provide a 100% up-time for us. This is only one of the advantages DPoS gives us in various aspects (UX, functionality, speed..).

Is it 100% secure?

YES! Every cryptographic function, like signing a transaction, is done locally on your PC. That means that no passwords are sent through the network. We implemented all of this into a library, which will be released for developers soon.

Can I run a delegate with this?

NO! Delegates need to run the normal Crypti v0.2.0 client and they also need to host the blockchain.

1 MB is a small application, not 100 MB. I know you use basically a Linux VM, but still a native c++ Windows implementation would allow a client below 3 MB.
