There's like 5 lignes on POI in the blog, as if i didn't read that already. Basically it tells me that POI is 90% classic POS with a little piss cat on it like node's PoA, ololz spam transactions to get importance score. I don't mean to trash your work, i now you spend lots of time on POI, refining it etc...But in the end, when people asks about it, answer is oh you know it's a very complicated thing with a lot of parameters.
Thanks for your feedback. I understand you want to know more details about how POI works. Unfortunately you will have to wait until the whitepaper is released though. I hope for your understanding that there won't be any detailed information about the algorithm before the whitepaper is finished and published.

so trying mac client now as windows did not work in standalone either.....how do I start NIS etc, I drop down and select start but nothing happens

I can see my XEM on the block explorer and have tried to use my password but it wont let be login says not found account
I copied the the password down in triplicate and used it in the verification stage all ok.
I then made a new wallet and tried to import using private key but it stills asks for the password
(i have my private key)
so what do I do?
I get the feeling you mix up your wallet password (which you are supposed to create when you create your wallet, and which should be at least 12 characters long with numbers, small and capital letters and at least one special character).
You are supposed to use your chosen wallet password to confirm the import of a new address (by entering the private key of the account, you wish to import to your wallet).
Never enter your private key anywhere, if you are not 100% sure about what you are doing.Please ask somebody, if you are not sure what to do. Never play around with your private key. If you lose it or it gets stolen, your funds are at great risk, because whoever has knowledge of your private key, has full control over the funds in that account - no other password or anything is needed, the private key alone is enough to gain full control.
I am running multiple NIS Nodes on multiple VPS nodes running 24/7. I am wondering if anyone would be interested to gain delegate harvesting access at my nodes. I would charge very very low fee for such service probably 1$ or 2$ a month. Such fee is way much lower than the cost of setting up a VPS on your own. PM me if you are interested.
