Developers control 65% of coins, I believe.  This is probably the worst distribution of POS coin

Once again you start to turn the old theme in a circle. How can they control if everything is secured multi-signatures? Shocked

You mean, how can they control the multisig they control?

Multisig is not protecting anything if the co-signatories are all malicious players
(i hope core team players will not take this comment personal, it is just an observation in regard to the relevant convo)

More over, multisig can be a pain, if there is no consensus for whatever reason.

@xtester

Why have you only deleted posts in my defense and NOT any of the personal attacks against me on the @NEMofficial thread?

Civility, that is the simple answer. I will never deleted any civil posts of yours.

If these coins don't harvest on a node controlled by a single person then it's ok.

Multisignature is irrelevant for harvesting. The point is not to allow a single entity to reach 50% of PoI rating.

Sorry, I don't see any problem here.

Delegated harvesting doesn't delegate to someone else. It delegates to another account that is is still your.

Then you must have a running node somewhere. Small fish will likely decide to delegate the power to a pool if someone offers such service.

Man, you can't please everyone, of course, someone will try to insult you. But do you really care of their opinion? I bet the answer is "no".

Civility, that is the simple answer.

I didn't say one single personal remark toward anyone apart from smaragaidiot who is the worst person on the whole forum.

The last person you want involved with NEM is Smaragda.  His adderall induced posts are the antithesis of good marketing.

i hope there is a cure for his mental illnes

I have nothing against you personally, I just think your drug fueled rants are bad for a general thread.

Of course nobody will harvest with the NEM Funds.

Why do you see a motivation to have pools? I don't see it.

@smaragda: Small hint: The usage of explicit language COULD help getting your posts deleted.

you think because xtester started to delete posts that you're immune all of a sudden?

I think that majority knows you well enough to ignore your posts even if they see them, you did your best to reach this by overusing caps, red color and copy-paste. Deleting posts changes nothing.

Of course nobody will harvest with the NEM Funds.

One of the devs already confirmed that they harvest with coins controlled by devs. I thought he meant NEM Funds, maybe he meant something else.

Why do you see a motivation to have pools? I don't see it.

Ability to choose what transactions to confirm in the first place.

Nothing wrong. My notebook is running a model, 100% of CPU is used and I can't write code. Talking to you is the only way to spend time now.

Hehe, obviously you are not in good mood now, I'll leave you alone. Post something after this my reply (you don't like when the last reply is not yours, I know) and we stop for today.

zanzibar, I'd appreciate it if you'd keep it clean. Enough interesting subjects to be discussed, no need to create and feed flame wars here.

Thanks.

What do you mean?

Someone could run a pool to be able to decide what transactions to include into blocks. In some cases (e.g. Asset Exchange front-running) it's very profitable even if you don't get harvesting fees.

So it would be good for the people who run the pool.

But why should people be interested in participating in a pool?

@xtester

I guess you allow CIVIL-TROLLING too...  huh???   Roll Eyes

By the way...  I really enjoyed that there might be proof you posted earlier...  still acting like you're not sure even though you have come in direct communication with NxtChg about the situation...  huh???   Roll Eyes

...like you haven't seen me post parts of the chit chat...

No, I am sure there was proof, though I'm not sure what happened in the meantime.
