if i was to mindlessly say, oh this bank thing will send XEM to 100 sat, 1000 sat, well there'd be support all round.

And anyway, is there still "Alice's fullfill block donation engine" ? It looks like all the harvested blocks (also last 3-4 days) are with zero fee.

Yeap, it is always the same procedure. Some surprising news is coming out and the price jumps up. After a couple of days, the price goes back to the level before the surprising news. This pattern can be observed on many coins.
