When will Zaif add XEM?
supposed to be by the end of the month
where does this information come from?

What is Zaif ?
I would like to ask the same question.

Zaif is a large exchange dealing exclusively with BTC/JPY in Japan.  You can see the volume here:
http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/zaif/

Makoto hinted at them adding XEM awhile back...

OKWave's trading was halted by going up too much based on news of using Mijin (this made national news): http://www.asahi.com/business/stock/kabuto/Ctkkabuto1820255.html

Let's hope we get XEM/JPY, XEM/CNY, etc. soon!   Wink
Why not asking BTCBOX if they are interested in adding XEM/JPY or did this already happen?
https://www.btcbox.co.jp/

You guys can try to write to them and ask them.

Zaif said they would add us within this month.
Oh, thanks. I'm just going to read a little bit more about them. Never heard before

Hi Guys,

Lots has happened with NEM in the last year and we hope that lots more will happen in the future.

We recently just put together a 10 person team to work on Lightwallet so I am really happy about that.

This reminds me though that we need many more teams and helpers.  Maybe there is some small way you can help this project.

Please take a minute to look at this short volunteer survey and lets give it a try.

http://goo.gl/forms/NJVlcH7oJa

Lemme rephrase that if i may.

Are you constantly unsatisfied with the progress of NEM ?
Do you feel like criticism isn't being heard and/or addressed ?

Here's your chance to change that. Take it or..... Wink

That too!

I was wondering why NEM have not increased in value within the last days like most of the other Alts.
Was it because of the recent increase from market cap 1 million to 4 million?
So probably we have seen some profit takers.

Will cross my fingers the uptrend will be still intact an we will see the 5 million market cap soon.  Smiley

It doesn't depend neither on your GPU or CPU. It depends on your importance in network, which is calculated from the amount you are hodling. Am i right?

Your importance to the network is not just based on how much you hold.

It's based on a number of things and the balance is just one of them. One is how often you transact with others, another is if you keep open a reliable node...etc

If you held millions of XEM and then did nothing with it, your importance to the network would quickly drop.

Its very strange whats happening with the alts atmo. There are long forgotten coins rising from nowhere. Even Doge making huge gains for no apparent reason. On top of this a number of Chinese coins (VPN YBcoin etc ) with huge gains also. If you look at each individually, it just looks like your standard pump and dump (dump has yet to come), but the fact that there is so many such gains at the same time has me confused.

Happy enough where NEM settled after the last pump tbh

correct

another is if you keep open a reliable node...etc
wrong

The amount of harvested blocks are completely indepent from the fact if you run a reliable node or not. We do have a supernode program in the works though, but that has nothing to do with harvesting/POI: http://blog.nem.io/supernodes/
Supernodes are still in development, we are in an open beta phase at this time. So don't expect any rewards yet.

If you held millions of XEM and then did nothing with it, your importance to the network would quickly drop.
Since the balance is one of the parameters which affect your importance score, it will not "quickly drop" if you have millions. But it WILL decrease if you dont transfer, that is correct.

Mabe this isn't clear for you, too: There are no block rewards. You only earn the fees inside the block which you harvested ("mined" in Bitcoin language). So you can harvest a block and earn nothing, if the block was empty (no transactions happened inside that block).

New people, read this: http://blog.nem.io/nem-tutorial-list/

It's always better to go to the source. I would advice you to go to http://nem.io/NEM_techRef.pdf and look for any doubt you have there. POI is a very innovative and in my opinion better than POW/POS.

One of the devs might want to get in touch with Payservices.com about having them list XEM. I opened an account yesterday and asked them to add XEM, and they replied saying the coin was unfamiliar to them and could I send them more info. I sent them the link to this thread, which has all the info they could need, but maybe if one of the devs just reached out and made themselves available to answer any questions that come up along the way. You could start the conversation by opening an account and filling out a support ticket--support is very responsive.

Here's an article about Payservices.com: http://dcebrief.com/the-launch-of-payservices-com-has-come/

Speculating and pumping never truly last though.

NEM has solid platform & fundamentals and is experimenting with real companies.  Invest in a few coins you really believe in, and leave the rest for the day traders.  Most people lose money doing the latter.

Considering nem.io is still flagged for malware, that maybe the reason new people are holding off investing.

NEM   NanoWallet   SuperNodes   Apostille   Landstead   Catapult   Mijin

sorry, but horrible idea.

this is where you should point them:

But google still has its false positive malware warning on nem.io so that is really bad at the moment.
