If earth was flat and didn't rotate, one side would always be bright & too hot and the other side would always be night & too cold. Perhaps no water on the bright side and all ice in the opposite side. We wouldn't have existed at all.

I think we have gotten all the updates we need at this point. The timeline is set and we are all just waiting for beta launch or at least another revision to the timeline if the devs decide they are not ready for beta yet. Nothing much to do now except wait patiently and spread the word about NEM unless you are a dev.

Followed the procedure to claim my NEM stake. Nervous now as I have never used NXT before.

You do realize that you are merely claiming an asset right ? To get real NEM you'll need to exchange that later on. It's only for people that want to trade pre launch and not necessary for people that only want to claim their stake.

Prefer to keep it outside for safety.

Yeah, I think there was a misunderstanding with the beta/true release discussion. I think true release = distribution, and if that is so, then true release will follow after 2 - 3 weeks of beta testing.
