Personally i feel like we shouldn't resume. Distribution is like a few weeks out anyway so why not just give the people time to get their accounts back or report their accounts stolen ?
Many people only check btt monthly so those will only fall for and report the fishing in a bit. It's impossible for us to know which accounts are compromised and which not. With more time passing hopefully most people will be able to recover their accounts or at least report them stolen.

I just think Pat that you can never be completely 100% sure that someones account hasnt been hacked. I think it is the persons responsibility to not get his account compromised. I just hate it when a whole community process is stopped by some idiot scammer.

Disitrbution is onl a few weeks out so imho it's really not that big of a deal.

Bitcoin Expo said all the speeches (from the speakers) would be made available in English and Chinese.

No idea what this means.  Maybe they handed out headsets where someone was doing live translations.  Or maybe it means this stuff will be made available somewhere on YouTube or as an audio file?  Keep in mind it only ended like hours ago and it takes days or weeks for this stuff to be put online.

I agree it is everyone's responsibility to take care of their own stake.  At the same time, we know for a fact that many people lost their accounts and we can suspect there are more that haven't been discovered yet.

Surely opening up NEMstakes right now would literally be handing money to the hacker.  I don't like letting him win like that.  I'm guessing he would just dump too. 

So for me, I don't want to give the hacker anymore NEM than possible.  The more time goes by and everything is clear then the hacker wins less.  Also, the community as a whole wins more as NEM isn't destabilized by somebody dumping 20 stakes and selling out the entire buy wall. 

Even if somebody wanted their token right now to sell, they would be getting their token delivered at the same time as the hackers and that is something that I am sure few people but the hacker wants. 

So I feel like the situation is regrettable and less than perfect, but the real distribution is coming soon.  There will be a lot of noise about it, and people that don't know that their account was hacked should within reason have found out by then.

Ive no doubt he's got many alt accounts to enhance his trolling/fud abilities -- alot of users here seem to replicate his mannerisms -- After all, if he can create the illusion that his views are popular, it's only going to manipulate people into his cause.

I installed nem wallet, but cannot assure whether it is installed rightly.
When I click <start harvesting>, following shows up.
"Oops!
The account is unknown. An account needs to be part of at least one transaction (sender or recipient) to be known to the network."

You have to backup your wallet. That .wlt file in the nem folder.

If you look at the 1 NXT sent into your account during the last Sunday, you will see there were only 2 transactions in the period when it could have been from the scammer, and one of them is mine. I know you need to stop, but if you just clear these cases you can see those were legitimate claims.

I does not seem that they have tried to take the NEMstakes yet.

The one-click installer works for me (Win7 and Firefox). 
The first time it takes 35 min for the NIS to synchronize and download ~66,000 blocks.
The second time it boots up in about 2 minutes.
