heh, i was just about to post that the grand bazaar name was chosen by arteleis , but i was being blocked form posting and he came here to admit to it himself .. so thank you arteleis, for telling the other monkey that it was you who came up with such a horrendous idea.

I chose the name The Grand Bazaar because surely the camel was going somewhere...
In this metaphor he is going to load up with goods at the bazaar before he heads back out on the next long journey up the crypto ranks..  Enjoy and please pm me to be added.

IDK, keep the ideas coming, its early days, perhaps separate blockchains could be used for each commodity, thats something that hasnt been done with any coin before.
You may ask why use seperate blockchains, well perhaps some people just want to use the main silk platform and not engage in trading, the separate blockchains could store the extra data required in the online trading, social networking side of things, IDK. The devs will have a better idea on this.

the implied myth behind silkcoin was there would be a silkroad type marketplace with anon features that would accept silkcoin...
of course this could probably never be built into the block chain as they described... it was a nice dream, and someone could still pull off a decentralized market of some kind that indeed does use silkcoin as the currency .., anything is possible.

And honestly this gives me warm fuzzy feeling of black metal.  Which I like.  Feels a bit like Mayhem or 1349. 
 For the record, if you would like to throw your name at the forefront of anything resembling silk road go for it.  I started buying silkcoin, because it stated literally on the site that it had nothing to do with silk road.  As coool as it would be to associate my name/alias with a group that might get me sent to some torture chamber, I'll pass.  If this goes that way.  I'm out.

Yes the bug and client is already being worked on and scheduled for release this week.  Anything to do with a possible name change or further ideas is supplemental to its release.  I believe everyone is trying to function one step ahead of the game, as opposed to 5 steps behind.

I downloaded the new wallet a while ago but i still have 0 coins and 0 connections to the network and when i hover over the lightning symbol it says not staking because wallet is offline. Can somebody help please? I have this problem since the old dev left the building... i had freaking 19K coins and for me thats much i want them back i miss my camel coins :p

 No i am not the lead-developer.  I have taken on organizing all development efforts and relaying messages in the forums to the best of my ability.     Bholzer is presently the lead developer and has said early this week we should be seeing the new client.   I as well have a lot of sc stuck on mintpal and want to see the coins staking again.  (-;
