How to launder Bitcoins easily. Just be sure you don't shake stuff in the sink right below them. A couple drops getting sucked into those fans and poof...no more Cheer (pun intended).

Hey guys I need some help just got a S3 and connected it to my PSU heard the fans turn on.
Connected the Ethernet to my cable modem and when I try to go to 192.168.1.99 it doesn't load
Try plugging the miner directly up to a laptop or PC like you would if configuring a router. Once you're in there then you can set a manual IP or have the modem DHCP assign one.

The L1's will pay for themselves in one month. GO BITMAIN GO
Unlikely, December is a LONG way ahead. no they wont if knc ship there titans...
IF is true, but the cost? I fear both won't ROI the way things are going. To be fair, LTC difficulty has stalled for the last month, while previously it was rising 30-50% each month. Even the exchange rate has recovered from its low point. Doesn't mean it will last until December, but Titan buyers are now probably feeling slightly better than a month ago.

Yeah, the sink isn't used...so we should be good to go. Needed a fresh outlet and an exhaust window for some more S3s so figured the laundry room would fit the bill.

What are recommended PSUs for Antminer S3 to buy - in Europe/US? I don't know much about PSUs, so a link to a PSU 101 article (at least as it relates to bitcoin mining) would be welcome as well. I read: http://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMining/comments/24intr/best_corsair_psu_for_my_antminer_s1/ch7mntp"Efficiency ratings describe the amount of electricity that the PSU loses as heat while powering the unit. Because miners are always on and consume a lot of power, more efficient units generally recover their higher purchase cost in less than a year. In nearly 100% of cases you'll save money by buying a platinum (or gold) rated PSU." Sorry for quoting myself, but any help with this? From a total beginner level, like understanding power draw on the PSU. Thank you. Something to remember, when you select a power supply(s) keep in mind that even if you select the best 80 Plus Platinum supply, you'll want to get one rated at about twice (optimum/peak efficiency of most power supplies is around 50-60% of rated power) of what you'll be pulling through it. So if you have 2 S3's and they're overclocked and pulling 374w each, then that's about 750w, so you should be looking for something in the range of 1200-1500w in platinum or gold rated. (also keep in mind that some power supplies have multiple +12v rails that usually max. out at 30A each, which might not be enough for a overclocked S3, so a single +12v rail might be a better choice) Also, if you want optimum efficiency, use a 240v source if available (some houses have a 220-240v line for washing/dryer, be sure to switch the selector on the power supply to the correct voltage before you plug it in) which should add about 2% addition efficiency. Sorry to say this but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. There is some inefficiency to account for in most PSUs but certainly not close to 50% on current PSUs. Most PSUs will happily run 24/7 at 80% (or more) of their rated watts. Some good quality PSUs will run 100%+. Poor example: Bitmain used cheap 1000w Gold Enermax PSUs in their S2s. And those miners use 1000w pretty consistently. Mine pooped-out after two or three weeks but many others are still using them many months later. I love the response, I have no idea what I'm talking about and then.... "There is some inefficiency to account for in most PSUs but certainly not close to 50% on current PSUs. Most PSUs will happily run 24/7 at 80% (or more) of their rated watts. Some good quality PSUs will run 100%+." If you read any decent power supply review that includes the efficiency curve, you'd know I was talking about the peak efficiency. Please read up before slamming someone, your response shows you don't know what I was referring to, people that don't know what you're talking about might take your response as educated and I feel sorry for those that might take your word on something you don't know about. Here's a simple power supply review that shows the peak efficiency is at about 50% (this random review I picked shows 89% efficiency at 600w and 85% efficiency at 1188w, meaning it's losing an additional 4% as heat at the peak power), there are many reviews out there that show that. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story3&reid=222

Ever heard of a modular PSU? No, sorry, that's unfair. Good use of space. I would be a shame if Bitmain went all into clouds and stopped making miners like this.

Also thier is a hole next to the ethernet port to reset it to default. Could be they changed the ip on you. heres for win 7 http://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm

It doesn't matter if you save $30/yr if the PSU costs an extra $200.

My lights are NOT on.

How to launder Bitcoins easily. Good Sir, Please remove either the BTC mining equipment or the washing machine/slop sink from that area ASAP. I assume it would be easier, less costly and far less time consuming to move the miners but that is not my decision to make. Seriously...like right after you read this STOP whatever else you are doing and move those things before you A) Kill someone B) Burn your house to the ground C) Destroy your equipment D) A,B & C This has been a Public Service Announcement brought to you by: iglasses. We care about you not being electrocuted!

What am I doing wrong here?
Is your PC connected directly to the Ant? Are the Ethernet port lights on/blinking on the PC? Are Ant's fans on? Sorry, I don't remember what the Ant's LEDs should be doing.

Is your PC connected directly to the Ant? Are the Ethernet port lights on/blinking on the PC? Are Ant's fans on? Sorry, I don't remember what the Ant's LEDs should be doing. 1. I've tried it directly connected and to the router. Result is so far the same. 2. The ethernet port lights are not blinking. 3. The fans are both on. Do this with direct connection only. Try another Ethernet cable. If Ethernet lights are not on and/or the connection icon on the PC has that little red x on it, you don't have a connection with the Ant, and this is before it even comes to IP addresses etc. Could be bad cable, or bad Ant (I'm assuming your PC's Ethernet port is working). Edit: one more thing to try would be to connect the Ant to the router just to verify if router's Ethernet port lights come on. If not then there might be something wrong with the Ant. Try resetting it.
