@nakisana the forum is the wrong place to request settlements. Please use the trollbox. We received a couple of requests regarding the market: https://fairlay.com/market/who-will-be-elected-german-chancellor-in-2017/. First of all, yes it is not correct, that this market was settled to MERKEL. It should be void as there won't be any elected chancellor in 2017. But this market was already settled in September. According to our terms wrong settlements should be reported within 72 hours - or there is no guarantee for a correction. Technically the market is already finalized and can not be reopened. However we will resettle this market manually and manipulate the balances of all involved users by hand. @FairlaySupport, I am certain most fluent English speaking people would read the contract title to mean - "who will be elected German Chancellor as a result of the 2017 elections. If the Chancellor is actually determined in January or February 2018 because of delays due to holidays or some other reason, it is unreasonable to expect that the Dec. 31 2017 deadline to be absolute (unless there was no election actually held in 2017). Also, the contract wording does allow for these unforeseen circumstances "Markets may stay open or incur a delay in settlement well past the date of the contest in certain circumstances." (You can see the wording more clearly in the old site: https://old.fairlay.com/market/who-will-be-elected-german-chancellor-in-2017-1/Please reconsider your position on this poorly worded contract title, and allow the contact to remain undetermined until a Chancellor has been elected (a void makes sense only if new elections are held). Yes it is a difficult decision. But still we will void this market as it clearly says IN 2017 two times.

With all these problems that are stated here I will give their sportsbook a try since I am currently still looking for one that does not require any verification once you want to withdraw from them.

Then it's not a place for you.... they are holding my 1.2btc and already asked for ID,utility bill then to make video clip with me and to prove source of the funds into my bitcoin account... enough to stay away? not? they are holding my 1.2btc for over 6 months for now.

I understand the coalition talks won't continue until after the new year.

You can already deposit the two altcoins that you mention. However, at the moment you have to exchange them using the exchange markets at Fairlay. This isn´t really a problem as they have a pretty low vig/juice and therefore you get a reasonable exchange rate when trading your altcoins for BTC.

This isn´t really a problem as they have a pretty low vig/juice and therefore you get a reasonable exchange rate when trading your altcoins for BTC. I would prefer to avoid exchanging at all. Seems like something easy to implement on their end (keeping client funds in whatever alt-coin was used to deposit), and I hope they consider doing so soon.

Hi, we are not very active during the holiday season. So support requests might take a bit longer. Thanks for your patience. Back to your idea. We are planning to implement BTC lending (with fees very close to zero). You will be able to deposit for example 8 BCH and use that as collateral to receive a loan of up to 1 BTC. If you are not losing these BTCs permanently you never have to touch BTC to use Fairlay.

My bet on Trump to be president on January 1st was paid today, and my withdrawal was sent to my wallet (0.37 BTC is not a small amount) within an hour. Some complain here so it is nice to also comment when things go smoothly, thanks Fairlay, great service.

The question was "Will a major exchange mess up", BTCe did so the result ended as "Yes".. Don't you know what you are betting on before you bet on it? Unless I'm missing something big here I think all is good with that bet.

Unless I'm missing something big here I think all is good with that bet. Well, they issued these tokens and if they are fully redeemed there is no loss. It's also not clear if customers have a legal claim against the US agency who seized the funds. On the other hand these tokens only trade at 60% of their face value, so one could consider that a loss. We need a little bit more time to decide this.

@Fairlaysupport, please void the German chancellor contract and return funds to those who wagered on this contract, as you wrote previously in this thread.
Also, please consider starting a new contract for this market until the Chancellorship is decided. Thanks.

Oops I meant, if they didn't return the funds, then why did this resolve as No. I think it resolved as No. But I cannot open the website because Cloudflare has blocked me for the last 20 minutes. Please fix Cloudflare!
