hey guys is 100sats still cheap?
Who knows what is cheap and what is expensive.... Nobody has a crystal ball. The best way to buy or sell cryptocurrency is to spread it over several days or weeks. If you want to invest 1btc, then buy 0.05 btc worth of HYP each day for 20 days. Or a similar strategy. That strategy sounds really good, thanks for this advise. I'll try that for sure! I will certainly buy some more if price stays that low.

Still seems a bit technical for non computer literates. LoL Yes I included many details that are more technical... Just wait until I make a few guides that are aimed at the technical features of HYP staking!! I am hoping your getting started video will be an easy to understand non technical guide for users Update: It looks like the guy that was going to do the video tutorial isn't going to be able produce the video... so I'll have to try and find an alternate. Is there a bounty for a getting started video? I've asked a friend who is really familiar with the wallet and all 3 environments which also happens to be a video pro. If things falls through I'll put up a bounty.

The benefits of holding and staking long term I'm a beginner dev! Could you explain why it's advantageous? Let's consider the price of HYP to decrease... Would it still be advantageous? Also, what's the maturation time and number of coins per block?

I did similar, and to make it even worse, sold at a net loss. Buy high, sell low, that's my motto.

Also, what's the maturation time and number of coins per block? These figures show that all coins in the balance were minted (received from staking). When you hold and stake, your balance grows nonlinearly due to compounding. It means you can get extra profit when the price moves up or compensate a part of losses if the price moves down. You can also get stable income from staking if the price stays stable. There is an answer to your second question in the OP (original post of the thread): Minimum Age - 8.8 days (rounded)Maximum Age - 30 days Annual Stake Rate - up to 750% (see hyp.presstab.pw for avg paid rate) Maximum Stake Subsidy - 1,000 HYP Recommended Block Size - 7,500-20,000 HYP (see tutorial for splitting blocks)

Still seems a bit technical for non computer literates. LoL devs are good at programming, suck at explaining thats a crypto phenomen, ive set up 3-4 staking wallets and after youve done it its insanely simple, download the bootstrap and place in the folder under user/name/appdata/roaming start the wallet set pssw etc, send coins to it and let it in there for a week (dont need to be online) after that you can stake by having the wallet unlocked and open easy btw really a gem find, im gonna buy some!

Is there a document explaining the way to control a CLI wallet on a Linux server? Something with all the commands.

I discovered this project these days, unfortunately I lost the sudden high! I hope it's not just speculation, about the blocks, the ideal is to make 20k HYP per block? Or 15k?
I made 20K blocks, bigger weight then 15K so should stake a little easier.

Hi friends, its a new week, which means we need to continue pushing forward HYP's progress. I have hired a webdeveloper to design a website for HyperStake, and purchased the domain hyperstake.io. I am hoping we can get the site up and running by the end of the week.

Hi, is the staking similar to pivx, where you must have the wallet open 24/7 otherwise you don't stake anything or like reddcoin where you get stake rewards based on coin age purely ? ie: open the wallet once in a year and get the full stake reward.

It takes 8.8 days for your coins to mature, so before that you do no need your wallet running. After that, the more often you have your wallet open, the more chance you have at staking. Basically every second is one attempt for your wallet to stake. It fails 99.9999% of the time. The more uptime you have, the more likely you won't miss that tiny % chance of successfully staking.
