Just had a 19.5k block stake, so it became 20.5k but it didn't split. I have setstakesplitthreshold 20000, shouldn't this split it ?
Should, but it the block has reached coinmaxage (30 days) doesn't split.
It is new algo for split in last versions, and coinmaxage do not matter.
If you set stakesplitthreshold 20000, then block split after input + reward more then 40000

Can someone tell me why the new wallet shows 18/62 infected ? https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d7e6ad55b36a517126461883f788d270e040cf325ccf5c42829b51db1f8368e2/analysis/1499341833/

perhaps presstab decided to scan our balances, just to be sure everything checks out  Grin

btw Delf is an old background malware downloader, still an ugly one, avoid by all means

Rarely I see this many false positives and this is quite new, when the wallet came out, there was nothing in virustotal, it took this much time to analyze it ?

no it takes a couple of minutes,
but smth is going on on virustotal side, it was 18/62 hours ago, and right now it's 20/62 already,
as if all malware databases are being updated with a new signature which triggers that detection

yeah that's what I was thinking too, this feels like an entire new signature, I got a few other qt wallets quarantined as well (and they have been running for months on my system without detection), so in the end it might not be presstab monitoring us Cheesy

I have some doubts... How many 20k packs do I need to create to have a good chance of receiving rewards? The difficulty has increased considerably and is this the trend? In addition to this generosity, what's the actual application of HYP? Why can people use it? Thanks in advance for anyone who answers my questions. Cheesy

You will receive the reward in any case, sooner or later. It's only a matter of waiting (staking) time. But, according to the law of large numbers, the more blocks you will have, the more smoother the distribution will be. It means you will be receiving your rewards more predictably.

Yes, the difficulty will be increasing along with the increasing number of active stakers (that is increasing along with the popularity of the coin and the price), and that is the mechanism which prevents inflation and makes the network super secured. The actual application of HYP is the same as BTC's, including all blockchain use cases. But it adds some value for long term holders in terms of basic income (not the speculative one).

the only thing you might need to know is that it's not profitable at all lol.
unless you have a huge bag already.
technical detail is irrelevant

Why is not profitable ?

let's say i stack 1 mllion coins, i will get rewards and when?

Why is not profitable ?

too much math to it, in short this POS is competitive,
and difficulty is too high already to make any good profit with a small amount,
so you need to buy a lot which may never pay off.
i recommend you buy some and see for yourself

I used to do all of the windows releases myself. Then for the last few iDunk built them. His machine doesn't have the windows build environment on it, so I built this using my old environment and updated to a more recent library for openssl.

I disagree with this. It has turned out pretty profitable for anyone that has done a few things
1) Be smart with buys, don't buy in the middle of a pump that the price goes up unusually fast. Time buys over weeks or months and get a much better buy in price.
2) Stake long term. People that try it for one round of staking usually don't make a profit. Look at the value of a lot of the long term staking wallets and many of them are very profitable. Even when there was a big HYP craze on cryptsy, many of the people that started staking then and have continued now, are doing pretty well.

Profit can be easy calculated on data from presstab.pw
Input data:
Yearly block counts - 350400
test period blocks - 2000
account -presstab - 26916K coins
minted for test period - 112K
(350400/2000)*(112/26916) = 0.729

You get 73% yearly, if sell profit. With recapitalization you receive 105% after 365 days.
Profit may be calculated for each from rich list.

agreed, it's a fisherman's coin, i have a few just in case it goes 1000x by an accident,
but usually prefer active hunt with traps, dogs, and fire-arms,
so "see for yourself" means "see if you like the slowest possible way it's making you rich" lol

and bears lol Shocked
