I'm online everyday, the fact that I'm not logging in doesn't mean I'm not around.
I'm checking forum everyday, logging in if I need to post or check message box (getting email notifications).
- Just to clarify.

Nice to know that you are on line every day, and read the email.

This event was to be expected, and it was up to the DevTeam warn in advance
the forum of what could happen.

Keep informed the investors, beyond any technical problem there might be,
would be seen as a sign of seriousness.

Unfortunately I'm not entirely convinced any sort of 'fix' was actually implemented.  If what Remy_5 indicated earlier is true regarding nav having it's 3rd birthday doesn't the PoS block reward get cut in half at that point?  That coupled with the recent network weight increase might explain the major delta we are all experiencing on staked wallets at this point.

Bingo! This is main reason.

Since block 2102401, what was assumed to be the first block of the third year,
it began operating a new rate of reward, which is now only 5%.

So the value of the stake grows much, much more slowly than before and in
a more linear way. And that in itself is enough to justify your observations.

About the fix, if you have not changed your code, or updated program of wallet,
then obviously there is no fix in action.
As I see, the secondary triggers reasons, there are still all, the little group of
addresses that produce blocks in the future, continue in their slip forward.
(It was the so-called group A of the little experiment a few weeks ago).

Other indirect reasons, are internal to the code and are somewhat common to
all POS coins.

The substantial improvement that's been around the 2015/10/10, is due to some
circumstances "environmental".
Our "whale", has probably restarted his wallet, and its new time-offset is
now very close to zero, this has as it were, shifted the center of mass of
the times in a more favorable position.

In addition, after the re-adjustment of its groups of coins after the change
of address, the whale has returned to produce blocks with great frequency,
and thanks to its "weight", and the low Diff, he has produced very long chains
of consecutive blocks, also 15 blocks in a row.

Normally this would be very unpleasant, but in this case, the blocks produced
from the same source did not have large changes of time back and forth,
and not to have negative intervals gave way at  PosDiff to rise a little,
pushing the block interval to 12-15 second circa, finally.

Instead, the rise of PosDiff of the last few hours, is another indirect effect
of the change of interest.

There is more to say, for example on how to re-optimize the size of the blocks,
but it's late and it's better to know first what are the intentions of the DevTeam.

Happy New Year!  Undecided

Hey Remy, thanks for your continued great information. I for one really appreciate it.

Is it possible that "our whale" restarted his wallet at the same time we entered our 3rd year?

Curious, I just tried sending coins via anon to a couple of exchanges and both times indicated anon-node not available.

Then tried to send normally, amount deducted from my balance but not a single confirmation.  Will update if I manage to figure anything out on my end.

*Looks like 1 of my 3 deposits has just hit bittrex.  Feeling a little better.  Will update if/when other 2 deposits hit.
**Looks like deposit 2 of 3 has just hit cryptsy.  Still not a single confirmation on my first transfer yet
***All three deposits showed up Smiley

Nice try, but do not correspond to reality. Wink

He \ She \ It was active both before and after, and has maintained roughly
the same time offset until I checked a few hours ago.

Here is the graph of the Pos-Diff and the interval between the blocks.

As you can note the event linked to the whale took place many days ago,
while the new increase in PosDiff started on Sunday.

For the record, the block 2102401 was generated at 2015-10-18 11:48:10 GMT.

Long ago someone had already happened, but I do not remember the detail.

Check if you have enough free space on the system disk, and you have enough free memory.
If necessary, move the file debug.log, if it has reached considerable size.

As an interim measure there is an option that temporarily inhibits the activities of staking.
You can put it on the command line of the wallet: -staking=0
or on a new line in its .conf: staking=0

If the above helps, and your wallet.dat reached considerable size, maybe it's time to think of a
migration of your coins to a wallet.dat brand new.

Obviously then remember to remove the option anti staking. Wink

Hey Remy, thanks for your continued great information. I for one really appreciate it.

Would just like to echo Ginger Ninja's appreciation for all the effort remy_5 has (and continues) to put in on both the staking issue and helping out community members.  It speaks volumes on his/her character.

Has Cryptsy exchange stopped paying its customers accounts.
Navajocoin should disable the wallet display for cryptsy as this will reflect an incorrect market value and drag the other exchange prices down.

Can we get an official opinion from the NavajoCoin Development Team on this matter

Edit looks like it was a rumor from a coinfire article

No kidding that was over a week ago and clearly fud .. how about Deleting this post ..

Ps:

I agree with Ginger Ninja your not to be trusted.

What sort of BS comment is this. Ginger commented on cheerleading haha. Not about trust. Don't you see the edit after 30 seconds of making the original post. Yeah it was a week ago. But it's still circulating. I  didn't mind Gingers comments to be honest. His clearly frustrated which I can understand. We are all in the same position. So don't come on here trying to discredit me and misrepresenting what another member has said.

If this cheerleader ever comes on this forum and starts complaining you will see this Cryptocoin go to 20 sats. Im the one that highlighted the community towards Remy 5. I'm completely happy with progress and im hoping when the good days start to come we are hit with a Tornado of great news that gives an upward momentum. The current sell wall is staked with sell orders and that going to need 65BTC to crack. Hopefully one day we all  open a bottle of beer and we all celebrate the crap out of this thing. I know this team well enough to know what is going on. So stop targeting people and stick to the facts.

I misrepresent nothing .. here u go ,,ive commented on this in the past myself .

Did you ms this update!

Did you miss my continual questions about where is shahim and pakage? Where is the videos from the "Taipei event".

I can post a list of stuff that may or may not have been done too and add the Nav logo....

ANSWER THIS QUESTION: Where the f*ck is the web wallet? (Reaches into ass) oh here it is.....

Stop being a c*nt! your just going to dump and run off again like you did last time. I wish i did what you did and sold all my nav at 4500 like you did after telling everyone you were here for the long haul. I still have ALL my nav and thought these guys would actually eventually deliver something. Wish i had sold like you though now.

Massive dumps going on.. I'm afraid the end is nearing.. About time after so many signs.. The dev team dumped their bags throughout the course of the past months..

R.I.P. Navajo, it's over!

Obviously you don't follow the richlist. ...so your comment looks rather silly  Smiley for your 2nd post.

We are all experience traders and experienced on this forum since July  2014. The NavajoCoin Development Team know HaShForce101 can handle the mud at this critical time. While the others run and hide I know Soopy,  Pakage & Shahim will deliver the project 0 doubt.

We have a strong community with members like Remy 5 who fixed the Linux Wallet / Sync Fix which got us to Cryptsy.

A special note to the Navajocoin Development Team.  I hope the team acknowledges the commitment and Patience many have shown in the past months and the mud slinging that may come whilst you guys finish this project that we will need to handle on this forum.  Cheesy

And another 40k+ dumped.. Sure keeps the volume on bittrex high enough to not get nav delisted lol..

Why are you in disbelief? Cant you see whats going on? The people still holding now are hoping to hear from the dev team but the price is getting lower and lower making their loss even bigger..

I dumped @ 1100 with a significant loss.. Thats 2 months ago and price has now halved..

Im just being realistic.. This coin is done for just trying to warn you all.. :/

Once again ill say - STUDY the richlist that Remy 5 delivers with effort

Scheduled Maintenance of Anon Network

Dear Navajo Coin Community!

I am writing to inform you that soon we will be taking the anonymous network temporarily offline to perform scheduled maintenance.

The upgrade being performed is one of the steps towards decentralizing the anonymous network.

The scheduled maintenance will begin at 18:00 NZDST Thursday 15th of October 2015 and service will hopefully resume within 2 hours if everything goes to plan.

During this period anyone attempting to send coins anonymously will get a simple message saying the server is down for maintenance.

I reassure you that I am committed to this project and am busy working towards our common goals.

The next quarter is going to a big one for Navajo Coin.

Best Regards
- Pakage

Scheduled maintenance is now under way.

Anyone attempting to use the anon network should receive the message "Network down for scheduled maintenance" in their wallet when they click send.

I will post again once its back online. Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours.

Scheduled maintenance has been completed.

Everyone can once again send Anonymous transactions.

Maintenance Report:

Estimated Downtime: 2 hours
Actual Downtime: 6 hours

Events:

Added IP restriction.
Moved error logging from MySQL to text based log files.
Removed several dependencies to make server code easier to install when distributed.
Unified configuration options to a single file to make server code easier to configure when distributed.
Removed 100k per batch limit on the server, server will now process up to however many subchain coins it has available.
Re-factored some functions to gain extra performance.
Pruned all dead functions and testing scripts.
Restarted the navajocoind and navajoanonsubchaind daemons on all servers.
Ran tests to confirm that the changes hadn't broken anything.
Removed IP restriction.

It's past midnight here, so I'm off to bed. Work in the morning. Let me know if you have any issues sending transactions.

See you soon,
Pakage
