I have been reading back several pages. Many people are having problems getting the wallet to sync or connect. I have updated my conf file with the info listed over the past several pages. still no luck.

Please fix this. I want to be part of the BTCD club too...but i can't do so without a working wallet.

Could be your internet connection.  For example, my wallet will sync when I'm on Mcdonald's wifi, but it won't sync on Wendy's wifi.

I would try deleting everything then restarting at the mcdonald's wifi.  Don't forget to delete the AppData -> Roaming -> BitcoinDark folder (backup wallet.dat first!)

Hi everyone,

Could you do us all a favor and post the nodes you're running.

I'll then add them to the OP.

Thanks

guys is http://btcd.minerpools.com/ OK to keep mining?
I can't see the website online
It is online, but from time to time we get different DDOS attacks. That's why at that time the frontend was down, although the stratum has been working and finding blocks like crazy

yes i see your pool has found a lot of blocks compare to others. When do you pay out the block reward?

I ask because I did not get a payout for a block i found on a pool i mined with...and i found the block over 24 hrs ago.

Hi, bonuses are paid automatically, they're 0.001 BTCD per block found, you can check it out on your tx list. However, I'll check on your tx list. PLease P'm me your username so I can verify.

EDIT: Nevermind, I already found it and it shows you were paid the bonus. Please check your P'M, I just sent you the table showing your payments received.

Cheers

Thx. Only 0.001 BTCD per block found?  Ouch. I was expecting 80 BTCD/block found. I guess I misunderstand how the block reward system works.
hmmm I think you got it wrong, I'll explain:

- Every block found is of 80 BTCD  and that's whats paid to the miners
- The block finder gets an additional 0.001 BTCD as a bonus, if take into account diff and the amount of people mining it, it's good to receive that bonus.

Thx Smiley

yup have done that a few times in the last 24 hrs. Sad

I am on a hard line... not wifi. It works fine for all my other wallets....yes even my SYNC wallet is working...and you all know how many complained about that one.

anyway, i will try again

No pumping please. I am still trying to buy a bunch of BTCD!
Also, there is no need to pump. Give me three months or so and as long as I get help, people will compare BTCD with other coins and well, it wont be a fair comparison because BTCD will have so much stuff

No pump. Just buy and HODL

when I added:
addnode=146.185.188.6

all the initialization problems went away. I think it is just matter of getting the right peers

I share your opinion. But looking at this 1-2 btc mass buy orders that was fulfilled @ 50 - 52k I'm starting to worry a little.

Hi everyone,

Could you do us all a favor and post the nodes you're running.  All you have to do is open port 80.

I'll then add them to the OP.

Thanks

I have posted everything that i have read here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684090.msg7910483#msg7910483

from what i can see this is the first mention of  "open port 80". and why do you say "all you have to do is...". That's just lacking too much detail in the steps to do that.

now before one of the tech savvy people go off on me, realize that the landscape has changed. Now, many of us in the mining game are from other professions and have no background in writing code.  Some of us are old farts and were born way back in the 50s. we remember when the first PCs came to life lol. So, we never grew up with this stuff. as such we merely copy what you recommend.

So where do i insert this "open port 80"  line command into the conf file? I imagine it has to be in the right order.

this isn't about BTCD but since James is active on this thread I wanted to first say congrats on the poloniex deal! I am just wondering how that asset works, I purchased some but wondering if I need to do something with it now, like transfer to NXT asset exchange or something. Any help is appreciated, sorry if it is a noob question.

keep in mind every exchange that has btcd or any other POS coin is gaining coin by holding peoples balances
imagine what the rate of stake is on an exchanges wallet my weight is currently 1784 :\
Exchange i can only speculate but im sure its far above the average stake rate. And do you think they are going to keep all those coins? exchanges are like miner pools PUMP & DUMP.

And that was me buying up 6 btc worth since 5 hours ago. Somebody said that would push it to 60k sat, but I chewed slowly so sells only went to 56k.

So when is mining supposed to end for POW?

I heard people saying today yet CMC shows only roughly 1 million coins mined so far and people are saying difficulty is as high as Bitcoin last year, so how will we reach 1.6 million anytime soon?

We don't.

The more people stake, the less PoW blocks are being generated, which means that less coins are in circulation Smiley
