The question I have is.... how many coins can be mined per day?  for every connected wallet.   ...   my wallet says the current network weight is 85125.

~5% of 1.2 million per year = ~60,000 per year
so estimate about 165 per day, virtually no new supply will be created
The orderbook used to have 100,000+ for sale
now there is a whopping 3238 available on bittrex

For anybody familiar with supply and demand economics, this means any little demand, say 3 to 10 BTC would double the price and after the cheap BTCD is gone, the only available would be from people that bought at ~.0005 range, so I am sure they will turn around and sell it for a quick 17% profit. After all how high can a coin with small circulation and rapid tech development go?

That 60,000 is if every coin is being staked which, correct me if I'm wrong, but most exchanges do not allow staking of coins. I expect far fewer than 60k per year.

Wow.  You aren't going to be able to buy very many of these.

Well today I deleted a wallet with almost all of my coins in, having just sent them locally from bittrex.  No I didn't have a backup (I had only just downloaded the wallet), no it isn't in my recycle bin, yes it was a lot of coins.  So there are now even less available!

I managed to snag a few k more around 37k-38k satoshis which I think is still a ridiculously low price, so hopefully I'll make back my losses.

On another note, this is one of the strangest coin launches I've experienced, with no major pump and dump, an incredibly small sell book, and PoW phase already over.  The dev team is looking good, and if the promised features arrive, a 10-20 times price increase within weeks/months seems inevitable, if not more.  Interesting times!

We're opening for testing. Limited # of coins to start with and we're open to suggestions on coins to add so long as they tend to be profitable.

BitcoinDark by xpool - BTCD Multipool

PROP reward system
BTCD Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into BTCD. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into BTCD and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the BTCD payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient BTCD can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired BitcoinDark.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

Any issues, please report them here or feel free to PM me, as I can't always see every post.

PoW is done and looks like people are moving over to the multipool. I encourage all ALGO's to come over. There are already 150+ BTCD queued to be sent tonight at the end of the shift.

At this rate, I hope we can have a shift complete every 24 hours and then you will get BTCD every 24 hours.

Cheers!

joined your pool this morning, when does the shift end and payouts happen?

Shifts will roll over tonight and payout sent. Typically shifts will be 24-36 hours to ensure a healthy payout.

If you haven't already noticed, payments have been sent for the first shift!

Over 334 BTCD sent today.

http://dark.xpool.ca/profits

Thanks for your support.

Cheera and Happy Hashing!

2nd shifts finished up, 380+ BTCD sent.

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

I think James our dev is trying to keep a lid on things.  He doesn't want the price to fly up and get out of control.

He is working on a ton of shit.  The guy has a serious track record so I wouldn't be worried.

Which is the absolutely correct course of action. A major pump/dump is the last thing we want! This coin should have a fluid, genuine rise to the top!

LOL yeah I know.  I'm certainly not new to this game.   I have a machine that I use only for coin storage (mostly offline).  I deleted an old coin folder that I no longer use and must have selected more than one folder by mistake.  poof, gone.  I had only just closed the wallet to encrypt it otherwise the delete would have failed.  oh well.

I have had coworkers do this before at work. I used a program that did a deep scan of the drive and was able to recover all files that had been deleted recently. I can't remember the name of it but I am sure you can find something from the link posted above or by doing a quick Google search. The files are still on your hard drive since they were just deleted. Your computer just doesn't know we're on the drive anymore, for the lack of better words.

The BTCD devs just finished a strategy session

We decided that instead of all this stuff happening behind the scenes, we will bring it out into the open

That means you will see dev chat about upcoming tech. So you can follow along as things are happening and contribute where you can. Not exactly a roadmap and certainly not a whitepaper, but it is what it is, the current state of the dev process.

If we are struggling with some bugs, you will see that if we happen to have made a successful MGW multisig deposit you will see that:

isinternal.0 Confirmed deposit.1 BTCD bYjsXxENs4u7raX3EPyrgqPy46MUrq4k8h dbe105ed7106dc0514e1844be69587cd52e057cda75e2edadc22ed1aadf7039c.vout1 1.00000000 -> NXT.8989816935121514892

Yes, I have gotten MGW to recognize a BTCD multisig deposit, I believe this is the first ever such deposit for BTCD. Now I work on getting the withdraw to work and then next week we will get some stuff to test

James
