Today all the updates for Viacoin 0.13.2 got pushed to the Viafresh repository.
However as most of you know, merged mining is a task that requires another developer who is specialized in merged mining & familiar with 0.13.2&Segwit.

I found a developer who is able to do it for a decent payment.
$5.1k aka $5100 worth of Bitcoins || BTC6.5

Now this will be huge when Viacoin adopts SegWit & will be released.

I would appreciate it if some of you could donate to reach $5.1k as target.

Current balance (0.13946 BTC)

Remember that this is good news. A strong other developer will be great for Viacoin !

That's insanely expensive - who is this dev?

I know of an experienced dev who is familiar with AUXPOW who I'm sure can do it at a much more realistic price.

Do not trust Yobit/HitBTC/C-cex scam exchanges or shady ICO's run by known scam companies like HashCoins/Ambisafe/Bountyhive etc - they WILL scam you:
https://translate.google.com/translate?u=https://bitnovosti.com/2017/06/28/stop-this-for-bitcoins-sake/
Use due diligence & research. Buy the coins, sell the coins - don't invest in stupid shit. If your questions aren't answered - don't touch it.

Interesting. Dm me who it is & what his price is. I am very careful because your btctalk account shows negative trust

Keep us posted on what the decision is moving forward with a dev & whether you are still shopping around. It's hard to say $5.1k is expensive because I don't know the amount of work/hourly cost that goes into this. What is the projected amount of hours/cost per hour that the $5.1k quote is providing?

I'd be more than happy to contribute at least .25 BTC to the fund assuming there is a game plan here and good people working on it.

Romano, did you try contacting reorder? He is the one who did the auxpow implementation for Viacoin back in 2014 and I believe he's experienced enough to do it again.

His price was higher.

So kind of stuck with not much option.
Everyone who send a direct message has a similar price.
I ran a background check on some who are significantly cheaper but very "suspicious" & having my doubts when checking background.

If someone donates that would be great.

But Viacoin 0.13.2 will come with or without donations & that's a promise. So don't worry if there's a donation or not.
But investing a significant amount of the development funds is counter productive.

Btw Viacoin 0.10.11 Is planned to be released. This version will have a lot of security vulnerability & bug fixes.
Also an optimized wallet & more stable wallet. Yes Windows binaries will be available. I noticed Viacoin current version 0.10.9 doesn't even has Windows binaries.

After that Viacoin 0.13.2

Expect Viacoin Core 0.10.11 to be released this week.

If you run a wallet, make sure to backup everything and export your private keys. Follow the regular process when you normally update the wallet for a coin you hold.

I have some additional deposits coming in at the end of this week and will make a small donation to the fund. If the top 20 holders each donated .25 BTC we'd be in pretty good shape.

There is always going to be a market for the Trump/Putin/Pot/Kanye/Doge style coins where people invest solely because of P&D nature of them. So be it.

Looking forward to the new update(s)

U got AuxPOW, so be happy with it. I havent seen any improvements to the code for a long time. Do u have any new features to supplement the older ones, originally planned for the new revision of Via?

Viacoin Core 0.10.11 Will be released this week ! Windows binaries will be available too.
I'm testing it myself now & launched 3 cloud servers. If that goes well (off course) it it will be an official release.

Also it will be intresting to see if a good amount of people will update their wallets/nodes  Smiley

I was sneaking around on the viacoin richlist and discovered that some whale is accumulating a HUGE load of viacoins.

Look at those wallets, all were filled on the 18th of october, when we saw a surge of volume (150+ BTC on Poloniex) and the price went to 7k+

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/via/address.dws?207549.htm
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/via/address.dws?207571.htm

And another one that accumulated when we saw a surge in volume on January 3rd (80+ BTC on Poloniex) and the price went to 4k+:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/via/address.dws?212920.htm

I'm pretty sure (thanks to the date / time of wallet transfers) that the same person is holding all these coins, a total of more than 6,284,000 coins (29% of all coins!!!). Also it seems that none of these addresses are polo/bittrex addresses, so these are probably coins in cold storage.

If someone accumulated as many coins at prices between 4k and 8k satoshis, you can be sure that when this whale decides to pump the coin, it will blow past 10k very easily. I really can't wait for it to happen.  Shocked

Do you think these whales REALLY bought them? But now they are in -EV because the current price is 3k, they bought between 4k to 8k. It is illogical story, if they are all real whales, they would hold and protect the price dumps to 3k again. I think some people panic bought many coins

@yhlsqj this is a long term game, a small dump to 3k is totally insignificant to them if they plan to pump it 3x, 5x or 10x later this year. If I were them I would put everything on hold until the 0.13.2 release.
Of course I might very well be wrong but still, the dates and times of all these transactions must not be a coincidence, are they? Smiley

Congratz on the release Romano, I'll update my node ASAP.

I don't quite understand how the rich list works because I don't see my address on the list. Not sure if that's because I have my coins on polo but I thought I'd still have a unique ID... maybe not. So I question the accuracy of the list.

Poloniex uses a lot of different addresses to store its coins but there isn't one address per customer. However, you can see all the Poloniex addresses here:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/via/#!wallets
It is the top wallet, containing 6,000,000 coins and 302 addresses.

The addresses I'm talking about are NOT part of Poloniex or any other exchange as far as I know.
I received a PM telling me that these coins were probably coins held by Bittrex that they massively moved to lots of different cold storage addresses 3 months ago. Looking at the transaction history it might be the explanation.  Lips sealed
