From what I gather the work on the backend of this upgrade is a lot more complicated than anticipated so from what I have been told it may take up to 2 weeks before completion of this first upgrade. There seems to be a lot of work involved in generating the I2P nodes or something plus the other stuff that requires dedicated hosting which is costing more than expected due to using up a lot of hosts resources etc so if anyone feels like throwing a few btc or xbc at the donation wallets by all means weigh in or if you understand these technical issues and can lend a hand I am sure it would be appreciated. If anyone else has any other updates let us know.As far as I am aware the way this is being done will make it easy to add further upgrades and features down the line instead of having to go back to square one and it would be more cost effective doing it this way for future devs community etc.

We shouldn't take 2 weeks but you are correct with regards some host providers annoyance about too much bandwidth being used during testing phase and as a result we have selected other options where there have been such issues however unless we test things to the maximum limit such stress tests are pointless. You may also have been updated on the fact that there may be both I2P and Tor hybrid infrastructure but we have yet to decide if the latter is nescessary or just overkill however choices may be available if we can determine a way where people are free to use whatever system they want or both.We may also use only one option for now if the stress tests on the I2P infrastructure determine we need more resources which can be done at a later stage if this upgrade takes much longer.

The work is really on what you cannot see on the front end but the logos/icons will be changed and the new features in the wallet require such infrastructure and that is where the resources are being pointed atm.We want something that works flawlessly and there is also no point in giving the network such a major overhaul without using the opportunity to add these critical features to the wallet etc.

I didnt mean that they were going to use this infrastructure. All I meant was that they were testing something like this and one was taking too long to implement at the moment.I do know that POS with X11 Algorithm is one of the changes so thats a good move anyway.

Official Announcement

We have arrived.Thank you guys for all your hard work over the last few weeks and last week in particular to speed up the process.I will not name anyone in particular and certainly will not anyone who doesn't want mentioning(My word is my bond) but not even the smallest effort has gone unnoticed. It is true that when the world walks out on you that only true friends appear.

To all those who have made extra efforts in securing the current network to date we salute you including mindfox whose loyalty can never be disputed. Also you few team members who have given your last drop in order to start rebuilding this thing are commended.

To those who have worked on the technical end in implementing the first stage of ideas we can only say we look forward to a future of mutual collaboration and cooperation.Your various levels of expertise regarding technical development and network infrastructure have begun a new era of function and practical utility to our community that has laid a good template to work with and plug into when future development takes place as the project and community grows. We would also like to thank 2 developers in particular with regards their system and procedures that compliment the overall end product.

We have ensured that the decentralised protocol is held sacred while using various methods to implement a 100% secure and reliable infrastructure without compromising this key protocol giving users choice and ensuring that what is presented works without question.

A source code will be made available to Poloniex and TF2 Honeybadger shortly.Any developer who has and requirement with regards their own particular aspect of code with regards non disclosure or non circumvention will have their request made at that point etc if applicable.

Any team members who wish to have a copy of the wallet before general release send me a pm please.

Thank you all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Estamos aqui!

The new BitcoinPlus wallet will have encrypted peer to peer messaging and ability to use I2P and also a hybrid tor network.

There will be the ability to decide how much coins are left on spendable balance at all times and the wallet can be translated into a more comprehensive choice of languages.

A bootstrap.dat will also be available to speed up blockchain download time which will be very useful as new blockchain increases in size.

Thanks man..the current set up is being rolled out with the tor hybrid network. The I2P is still being processed but can be dealt with by way of frozen market and simple pointer to upgraded unit via link.We are going ahead with the former due to the length of time it is taking and jimbo becoming impatient :-)

We will also be moving onto mobile versions once the issues regarding email function are ironed out for android versions.

********************************************************************************************

There are some wallets belonging to unknown community members that are still staking. Please move your coins to Poloniex before market freeze takes place as they are currently inspecting the source code.

We cannot control how long they will keep the window open for coins to be exchanged for new ones on their platform.

We will keep the lights on and as many connections going for as long as possible but it will be at their discretion how long more they will accept coins off the old network.

Thanks again guys for your cooperation and if possible allow this to be the last post on the thread until next update.Any questions just pm or email contactus@bitcoinplus.org

We have been getting a lot of emails asking about the trading pattern on the exchange recently.

In answering a few points raised:

-NO we are NOT suppressing the price and are NOT concerned how low or high the price goes at anytime.

-YES we have NO problem with anyone buying or selling at ANY price(Cryptoland is a free country the last time we checked).Volume is good for traders and contributes to the exchange.

-NO we are not planning a major pump to 500btc(I dont know where these ideas even come from in fact the coin has been dumped over the last few days).

-YES the coin will remain for as long as we do and the next generation coming after us.

-NO Mr Satoshi does NOT work with us(unless he is going by a different name).

-YES we will be continuing with further development into the future(We are only getting started and even this new start is just an experiment as once we see a genuine community interest and input effort we will go in whatever direction they want, budget permitting). If you are a tech geek and want to implement something feel free to chime in.

-NO we are not a foundation or any other official BS that seems to be happening to other coins once they smell profits(XBC is owned and will be ran by whoever the fuck wants to run it NAMELY YOU and any other Jane or Joe who uses their wallet and trades the coin or sends an email or whatever.

-YES we are trying to make it basically run itself like decentralised, autonomous, peer to peer systems are supposed to in the true sense WITHOUT despots and dictators and communities that are ran like centralised communists.

-YES anyone is welcome to develop any technical stuff that they want to contribute to the coin provided it doesnt compromise decentralised P2P protocol.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALL other questions were answered but keep any questions or ideas coming.

LOL ,,who is on plusorg duty today?Good answers there btw.Listen peeps,we started with no funds so we owe nothing to nobody only those who do the work around here and those who contributed like a so called community is supposed to do.Yes we don't want a community resembling commies but we do want individuals with their own ideas and opinions to work together and try stuff they dont get to do with other overbearing and authoritarian organisations. There are NO bosses here  Wink

                                                          Chinese speakers needed

We need chinese speakers to come on board and get active on chinese threads and other forums. We should also be looking at btc38 when we get any updates done so its vital we have chinese people on the team.A wallet with a healthy balance will be provided to the right person who will stay active long term.

Is your wallet actually opening and if so is it syncing?AFAIK checkpoints are only needed for the network to agree on the blockchain, for forks etc so shouldnt stop your wallet from syncing or sending coins.
