It was a joke, this is an unmoderated post so hopefully nothing gets deleted here. But I also got some of my posts deleted in the other topic. Quoting them below for reference, I was just asking for clarification/information. This makes me regret even putting those damn 16$ on that thing.

Quote
I also agree that the information given aren't clear enough. I don't mean to bash GAW or ZEN, but I'd feel more comfortable if I could read the terms and conditions related to this product. I doubt there was barely any effort put out to make things more clear other than this glossy promotion.

Quote
I'm guessing sales will be enabled after GAW is out of on stock data centre hash power to sell. It would be nice to have a date for feature that was announced from the start though.

I don't know...

I had a positive experience with GAWMiners so far...delivering actual hardware...+95%...

So, I don't hate them...Just opposite...

But the "Hashlet(s)" business is kind of "fishy" to me... Wink

Just be careful...This crypto business is full of scams...Starting great ...like BFL...KnC...etc...

That's all, folks...

To be clear, I can't delete anybody's posts here, however somebody else can:

1) moderators - presumably if the poster violates forum rules
2) poster him/herself

Most deleted posts survive on https://bitcointa.lk/

Recent GAW announcements:

- the Vaultbreaker aka Titan Killer 750 MH/s Scrypt ASIC batch 1 will be hosted soon-ish (?) on ZenCloud, including the ones purchased for shipping. It will not be able to use The Most Profitable Pool In The World (ZenPool) but will keep it's original hosting cost ($3.67 per day).
- alternatively said Vaultbreaker can be converted to Hashlets. This option will allow to use ZenPool, but will incur the Hashlet maintenance fee ($60 per day), which is significantly higher than Vaulbreaker's fee.
- same options are available to Vaultbreaker mini (375 MH/s) batch 1, but do not apply to VB / VB mini batch 2. Batch 2 options will be announced later.
- Hashlet price will be increased "tomorrow", not sure if that means Sunday or Monday. The new price is not known yet.

Other observations:

In the announcements GAW CEO mentioned "A2" and "proprietary Hashlet hardware" but did not mention Zeus hardware seen in the warehouse pictures.

ZenPool has grown by another 50 GH/s in the last few hours:

Hmm, they just announced some enhancement to the zencloud interface so I guess that's a factor. Give it a bit more time.

Through now. Decent.

Hi, all.  Found the forum and registered because of this thread.  I've been looking into Hashlet for the past couple of days.  Haven't taken the plunge, but reading this thread, I had to make a comment.  To all those who keep saying "As long as you get paid, what's the problem?", the answer is this:

Whether you're an old hand at cryptocurrency, as many (most) here are, or a newcomer like me, the sales pitch itself raises some fundamental questions.  Questions that we're not really getting answers to.  I think they were posed in the most detail by eightcylinders way back on page 6.

I might, maybe, get a single Hashlet even without answers to those questions, but I wouldn't risk more than the $16 it takes to do that.  There's just not enough info for me to even think about taking a bigger risk than that.

It might be too late.   It seems that sales are already being limited.   I got two for $12 and gave them to my son.  (I had enough points for $20 discount.)   Anyway yesterday I couldn't buy at GAWMiners, today I couldn't at ZenCloud but I was able to buy a couple Hashlets as GAWMiners.

EDIT: I was wrong about ZenMiners, it is hardware miners that are not available.
2nd EDIT: Not too late, just more expensive.

That's great, at least you're willing to check them out before you give an opinion. Smiley

There's a new announcement on hashtalk, should be a must read for people saying GAW doesn't have hardware.

Here I want to try to make a shady atmosphere.

based on experience in the environment around me, a lot of news that some preach scam and others, at a particular site, but it turns out that the site is still running and no problems.

examples of such hashlet now, this new, so it should not make a direct someone to this bad news, especially if it has not been tried and for no reason at all,

so my advice is let them run, if they are real is very good of course, I am not a representative of any company, I just wanted to calm the atmosphere  Smiley

but whats the problems here?
they DO pay, they have good history, they have known by name and surname people.

whats is the problem here mainly?

lets even say that their pool is so good because ie they make their own coins, mine tchem, pump and dump - still thats doable too

i mean as long as you get paid more than any other spot, there is no problems

Finally someone with some common sense, congrats !!

Not much to the latest post from Josh.  It was just a collection of ways for them to strongly encourage people to convert VB's to Hashlets along with more ways to lower the barrier to purchase:

ZenPoints are being renamed to "HashPoints" / Ability to merge Hashlets / Improved UI -- who cares

Credit-cards accepted within ZenMiner  --  buy more hashlets
Ability to purchase new Hashlets right inside your dashboard  --  buy more hashlets
Automatically reinvest payout profits into new Hashlets so you don’t miss a second  --  buy more hashlets

And coming soon… LTC/DOGE payments accepted, changeable algos, and the next phase of Project Prime!

Josh insists the warehouse photos are a data center yet both photos contain no cables of any kind.

Edit: Do you think GAW will start their own exchange with BTC.com (this project prime thing)?  BTC, LTC, perhaps a few more?  If we assume they want to keep as many BTC/alts off other exchanges where they would need to be actually paid out, then that would be the next logical step.

I think you may have missed my point.  The fact it's $16 isn't the risk.  The possibility that GAWMiners may be running a ponzi scheme with their Hashlets is the risk.  I'm interested in mining cryptocurrency as a hobby, but I can't do my own mining at home for various reasons (mostly because my Internet isn't on 100% of the time).  That's what got me looking into Hashlet to begin with.  If I buy a Hashlet and it turns out they are a scam and I lose my $16, no big deal.  If it turns out they're legit and I make a few bucks of it, that'd be great.  Then I get to make a few bucks and I'd roll some of the profits into buying more Hashlets.

A few years ago, I had some extra money and I wanted to try investing in a few low cost stocks just to see how it went.  I went in knowing I could very well lose my shirt, but I followed the wisest investing advice I've ever heard, which is "Never invest more than you can afford to lose".  I bought a few different stocks, held them for a while, and then sold them.  I made a few bucks on some of them.  I lost my shirt on a few of them.  I broke even on most of them.

Whenever you invest into anything, there's always risk.  The sales pitch on Hashlets basically says "There's no risk of losing money, you're guaranteed to make a profit."  That is the quintessential sales pitch for a ponzi scheme.  I'm not saying that the Hashlet is a ponzi scheme, but their sales pitch makes me suspicious, which is why I keep researching instead of buying.  Like I said, I might take the plunge and get one as a tester.  I've almost talked myself into it, despite the fact that I still have the same questions eightcylinders posted back on page six.

Edit: I see there's been a price increase on the Hashlet.  $20 instead of $16.  From everything I've seen, payouts have been roughly $0.24/day.  This changes time for full ROI from 66.625 days to 83.333 days.

I was sketchy on the ROI before at $16... now that the price has gone up to $20/MH I am not going anywhere near this anymore.

They have stated that they want sales to slow down because they are running out of hashrate to sell. So instead of stopping sales, they are increasing the cost. This works in two ways for them... it should slow sales (I sure as hell won't buy at that price) and it increases their profit if people do keep buying.
