i dont even know where do i need to get that extra boost they mention. unless i missed something i thought they had option to double dip pools now on the hashlets. I want to make it clear i am not talking about primes so if that is what they was referring to please let me know as i may have misunderstood.  Huh

Primes have this "+" sign on them. Not sure how this looks like on Solos, I haven't got that far yet. But I think it would cost you HashPoints to get the second pool for a Solo.

Great announcement. Can't wait for the next one. Please add more non-functional features.

Edit: this bug sounds quite nasty: https://hashtalk.org/topic/8630/market-not-working-correctly-big-issue-be-aware

I have ticket #33302 about this bug from hours and nothing happens. I'm little angry now...

For Primes it's on the hashlet itself. I don't see it on Genesis or Solo, so it's probably not available yet. But I only have ~800 hashpoints, maybe that's not enough.

This is the most confusing claim so far today:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/8483/hashlet-selling-methods

Quote
The reason we are using the Buy Back Program for Hashlet Primes is to start buying them out of circulation. This means that GAW will buy them back and not re-release them. We are going to start decreasing the amount of Primes in the wild to make them more valuable.

But as far as I can see Primes are still for sale and will remain so according to this:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/8471/introducing-the-hashlet-store

Quote
Hashlet Primes will Remain $50 Each!

Josh advised they 'would not always be for sale', but didnt say when they would be withdrawn. I did query him on this (in view of the fact the Prime's @ $50 would be a real money-spinner), asking what he intended to replace it with but got no response. My biggest concern with the site is the vagueness about their plans moving forward. Granted, it may just be they dont know exactly what they are going to do in the future and simply have ideas at this stage, but I find such responses (as above) are simply made to generate an urgency to buy without really knowing if their a good buy or not. Who's to say he wont release a 'Super-Prime' in the future, for example, thereby possibly reducing the value of the over-priced Primes by 50%?

I also find the 5% fee for the buyer AND the seller (10% total) quite exhorbitant. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt this more than ebay & paypal charge on a single purchase combined?

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

5% fee for both does seem crazy. it should be more like 2.5% each or just 5% for the seller. Ebay and paypal actually take a lot more though. Ebay takes 10% paypal 3ish% so not nearly as bad but still bad.

eBay+PayPal AFAIK can be from 8 to 15 depending on category. But that's not comparable. PayPal gives up a large part of its fees to credit card processors, and eBay markets the products. What GAW does is more like a currency/commodity exchange, which have fees below 1% typically. For example CEX - which GAW doesn't want to be compared to, but let's face it, they are cloning it plus some gimmicks - and their fees are 0.2% IIRC.

Basically this looks like an attempt to curb the trading for some reason. Maybe they have the illusion that this will somehow keep the prices high, or at least give them a fat 10% margin on the secondary market, but it might backfire spectacularly. We'll see.

I've just converted my S3 Ant to hashlets but now it's impossible to split it into smaller pieces. Wasn't that a feature they'd implement too?

So I still can't boost the primes - it's still saying I have a second pool, but that was supposed to last only 12 hours and now it's been ~20 hours.

Looking at my payouts I can't figure out where the double dip amp is. I don't think my payout for yesterday was any different than usual.

And my Genesis hashlets can't be split after I merged them.

Wow. Such fail.

Wait I think I get it now.  The plan was to so complicate the way these things work that there was no possible way anyone could figure out if they were being paid correctly.  So they have a random number generator that spits out payouts and nobody can complain because everything is completely opaque.

Transparency doesn't seem to be a part of the strategy. Even on hashtalk it has been repeatedly asked to add the hashlet name/id/whatever to the payout table to show which hashlet a payout belongs to (without having to click on each one). But they'd rather show some useless information (do I really need my e-mail address on each payout row?) and not something that could help users to see their weekly bugs. Even their new CSV export doesn't show the hashlet name and the BTC amounts are inside a text field, e.g. "received payout of 0.00093435 BTC" - I'd really like to know what was going through their heads when they decided this is a good idea.

on the plus side you will never forget your email as much as we see it on the payouts lol

I hate to be a debbie downer... But this is annoucement was pretty awesome when I first read it, but the execution of it is horrible.. Everything is bugged out... I can't imagine another company that would roll out major updates with this many bugs...

I mean... None of it is working properly... The CSV is unsuable... The market doesn't work and has a horrible UI... The boosting "kinda" worked but it doesn't pay out... Every single one of their updates does not work.

I just don't get it.

edit - Well, maybe the boosting doesn't work.. I used my rocket and let it expire, but now can't use my double pool... sigh..

It was implemented but the system kept spewing out identical hardware codes when they split.

How is LTCgear better? I see everything on the site that was affordable sold out...

Somebody show me how it's better?

Zeushash is still in closed beta so it ain't better yet. Genesis mining might be better...
